Credit card companies come to college campuses all the time. If there are none, I recommend trying the bank where you have your bank account with because you know how to reach them. However, I recommend not getting many credit cards and paying off the balance fast. Having too much credit card debt or credit history can hurt your chances of a job after you graduate from college because it is slowly becoming standard practice to do credit checks. Good luck!

Indeed, 61 percent of the survey's respondents have at least one credit card. Other studies even suggest that students' credit problems are even more severe, purporting that 70 percent of college students carry at least one credit card, own an average of two credit cards, and have an outstanding balance the ranges from $500 to more than $3,000.
Don't do it.

try to stay away from credit cards while your in college, they typically only add problems to college life. But if you have to get one use it for emergencies only. You can find them at your bank, chase credit cards, or you can try prepaid visa/MasterCard.
