This is just a judgment made by some people and cast towards others. The people who are being judged would never say that the cross was my stumbling stone. Only the observers who don't believe are the ones who make this negative judgment.

For times of past, the Cross was a symbol of shame. It was paramount to a public burning of a criminal in todays society, it prolonged the death and put his body out for everyone to see what this guy got for what he did.

Now, however, the Cross is a symbol of hope for all Christians. Or at least it's supposed to be. However, the people who subconsicously understand what the cross meant before Christianity, this is where they hit a problem.

The Cross and what it stands for bothers people because its message is offensive. It tells people that they are sinners, a fact that many do not want to face. However, the good side to that, after overcoming whatever offense is taken, is that our sinfulness can be forgiven. We know that many hearts are hardened. It is sad to see such resistance to a life-saving message.

I don't think it's the cross...I think it's the reason for the cross..
...remember..Christianity...only religion that says "you can't earn your way into Heaven."

Me..I'd love it if God would give me points for my good works and just judge me by that...but He's already told us how useless that is....so..it means i can't earn my way in.

Nobody likes hearing "You're not a good person"... then again...can't think of anyone that enjoys hearing "You have terminal cancer" or "we did all we medically could but could not resusitate your child"... I don't want to hear the message...doesn't make the message go away.

1 I don't believe Jesus died on a cross.
2 Even if he did the bible says not to have idols and a cross is an idol.
3 Why if you have an idol , why have an idol of the murder weapon

Because back when they may or may not of crucified christ they crucified people on a T-shape, not a cross, so the simble of your faith is wrong (if Jesus was crucified and exists etc.)
Well that just one of the reasons people are stumbling at the cross

It is because only the Holy Spirit can open the eyes to the Truth. I understand that it is difficult to believe that this guy comes from heaven and has to die and shed blood for people to be saved. For us Christians that see the Truth, it all makes sense, to those that don't it seems more like a fairytale.

Because it was laying in the road? LOL. I joke.

Because it a symbol, and no one sect of Xtianity can say "this is what it stands for" and stick behind it.

Not to mention all the atrocities that have been done in the name of Christ. Now granted all other religions performed their fair share of atrocities, but one banner unites the Xtians, so it looks bad.
