Need some facts please - I had a Christian Education, I'm a CPA with a 152 IQ.

Atheism is illogical because it can't explain creation; how does something arise from nothing.

Christians are the smart ones. Whoever told you this stumbling block nonsense. Are all you atheists this gullible?

It doesn't. What you are defining as "christianity" is really a right wing political movement that has little to do with real Christianity.

True Christianity has traditionally put great importance in Education. In fact, all of the Ivy league colleges in America were founded by Christian Churches. Harvard was a methodist school, and Princeton was founded by the Presbyterians. And you can't deny that the Catholic Church supports some of the finest education institutions in this country; Like Notre Damn.

Why even the Mormons have BYU.

Christianity doesnt look at education as a stumbling block. People seems to dismiss all hatred to Christianity without questioning it. That said the original public school system was created so people could read the bible. Catholics believe that science proves Faith. Also science is not in conflict with the bible it explains it. But the shape the public school system is in these days even the most devout atheist should consider education a stumbling block....

Huh? Christianity has been responsible for some of the greatest institutes of higher learning on the planet. Notre Dame can't play football this year, but they graduate some smart kids. Duke University, which includes a Methodist-affiliated school of theology is also among the best. Why do you choose to make a statement like this that is so obviously not true? Peace.

You must be quoting a certain view of someone. Which one?
The scripture that says that wise men who were very wise were actually fools meaning they thought they were too intelligent to have to go to God through his son they thought they could get their themselves.

Or, do you mean why Christian parents look down on education in public schools because they accept evolution as a fact when it's only a theory? Most kids that are sent to a secular college are overpowered by the secular kids that they lose their prinicipals. Where a Christian college keeps their foundings scripture based.

I'm a Christian and I don't look at education as a "stumbling block." In fact, I don't know of anyone who does. But maybe it is because some people start thinking that they are just too smart for religion. My is like that. He thinks that because he is a doctor he doesn't need God.

That's funny. I attended two Wesleyan colleges and found that not to be true.

Most Christians are Catholic and we operate several of the finest universities on earth, including Notre Dame and Fordham. You cite no source for your vaguely-worded accusation.

I am christian and one of my churches biggest concerns is that we get as much education as possible. We believe that our knowledge is all we can take with us to heaven. None of the material possesions matter.

Because religion relies on followers being faithful to a fault blind faith even. Education insists that we think and consider other possibility's and options.
