There is a lot of controversy, even among Christians, regarding witnessing for Christ. Approaching the man on the street can be difficult, its called "cold turkey witnessing". You are just as apt to be cussed out as you are listened to.
Tracts are published by many Christian groups and can be found in abundance in Christian book store. Some churches will let you have them for free, if you promise to hand them out. These tracts give a plan of salvation, showing the need and the results. Some are very good.
There is one tract that is especially good, when closed, it looks like a 5 dollar bill. All you need to do is drop one somewhere, or place it on a park bench. People grab these up like crazy, some keep them because of the novelty, and who knows what events might occur in their life to cause them to read it one day.
I live near the Gulf of Mexico. We have groups of young people who regularly visit the beach and witness for Christ. They have been very successful.

Sword/Lord..... :) Watched each video...not all the way, but more than 1/2 way through...will watch them in full later in case they had final words about their experiments :)
They were all rather nervous, new to interviewing on a camera, but were all very polite and well mannered.... Thinking back when I was younger, I would have tried that too if I could :) However, through experience, I do not like the abrupt bold approach, but like to lead into it slowly and if they bite, I will go with that in a friendly manner...if they don't bite, I will just have a nice conversation with few mention of God, but hoping that they leave my company feeling good about our meeting and maybe make them more responsive to other people in their day to day life...of course, I will be praying in the Spirit silently while with them, which will not offend them because they don't know it is being done... :)
Everyone has a calling to witness in their own way.... however, throughout life we are sometimes the planter, sometimes the weeder, sometimes the one watering the garden, sometimes the harvester... :)
Peace be with you :)

No, he kept correcting the woman when she was trying to give her understanding of the bible and the verses there, barely let her get a word in edgewise. He was acting like his interpretation is the only correct interpretation and hers didn't matter. His whole attitude was pretty arrogant because of that.
In the first video, I mean. I didn't watch the others after that.
If you want to talk to people on the street, start out by *asking* them politely if they'd like to discuss God. If they say yes, then discuss. If they say no, then move on. Do not pester anyone. Do not continue on if someone says no.
By the way, I am totally against presenting Christ to people on the street. I am not a Christian, I am a Jew.
But if you feel you MUST do it, please try to stick to the politeness instructions there and a lot of brain damage will be avoided on all sides.

You know that you didn't even take the time to read what I wrote, I did not say all Christians were like the examples I posted. If you have a problem with my questions you need not answer them, how about you don't jump to conclusions about the motives or intent of others before passing judgement?... Judge not lest ye be judged. To answer your question yes I do hink those are good examples of Christians teaching and I think that when Christians teach like that they can show the best examples of what it is to be Christian. My question is the opposite of yours, but I have to ask do you think ALL Christians are like the examples you have posted? because if you do you are guilty of generalization...
