No. I'm an atheist and I find no misery in me. In fact, it allows me to just accept things as they are. I don't even know what an R&S is. I find most ardently, piously, supposedly religious Christians work so hard to convince themselves that they have found some great external source of happiness that it demands they maintain a certain level of self denial. They don't dare face real questions of happiness and misery lest their whole facade falls to pieces.

Nope! Not at all! I am a new atheist, and I have never been happier in my whole life! I left all my misery, and fear behind me! I feel no guilt, and I am not afraid of the dark anymore either!
Now, all I have to do is remember to be nice to my former partners in 'belief'!
I like to come to R&S for enlightenment, when it is available, and to read the hilarious questions, and the answers, and you have to admit, there have been and, are some doozies!
Life is what you make it!
You get lemons, make lemonade!

Have you ever watched a surgery or documentary about something that you find disgusting and yet you cant take your eyes off of it. It's like that here.
We venture in to see what its about and then WHAM BAM.....we discover some of the most ridiculous, hogwash spreading nincumpoops running around and it intrigues us. we just get sucked right in by your archaic, cretinous way of thinking.
Its the same kinda of amusement you would get while you play with your dog and pretend to throw the ball.
We fake the throw and watch you run around crazy trying to find it.

I'm an atheist and I am not miserable at all. I am quite content. I come here because I enjoy intellectual debate (although some would say I've come to wrong place for that).

Only a miserable person would ask a question like that. You don't need to believe in the supernatural to find happiness and contentment in this life.

I'm not miserable in the least. I visit R&S to ask and answer questions about religion and spirituality.
Sometimes, things really are that simple.

No. Generally speaking, knowledge and rational thought do not lead to "misery."
