Angel Gabriel is the Angel of Revelation and was sent unto all the Prophets to strengthen them with the messages and Revelation from GOD.

It looks like the Trinity concept makes him part of god-head.

+ The Holy Trinity +

Christians believe in the one true God of Abraham. But God has revealed that He is a Trinity.

The doctrine of the Holy Trinity states there is one true God who is made up of three separate but equal persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Bible does not contain the word Trinity. However, the Holy Trinity is hinted at repeatedly in both the Old and New Testaments. For many biblical references, see: http://www.cwo.com/~pentrack/catholic/Trinity.txt

Under the influence of the Holy Spirit, the early Christians prayed and struggled over these hints for a couple of centuries. The concept of the Holy Trinity (three equal persons in one God) was mainstream Christianity in 325 C.E. at the Council of Nicaea and our belief is expressed in the Nicene Creed.

How this works is not fully known and is one the Christian mysteries.

The doctrine of the Holy Trinity is shared by most Christian denominations including Roman and Orthodox Catholics, Lutherans, Anglicans, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Pentecostals, Episcopalians, and the Salvation Army.

+ Angels +

In Christianity, angels, including Gabriel, are not God but are creatures created by God.

St. Augustine says: "'Angel' is the name of their office, not of their nature. If you seek the name of their nature, it is ‘spirit'; if you seek the name of their office, it is ‘angel': from what they are, ‘spirit,' from what they do, ‘angel.'"

With their whole beings the angels are servants and messengers of God. Because they "always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven" they are the "mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word."

As purely spiritual creatures angels have intelligence and will: they are personal and immortal creatures, surpassing in perfection all visible creatures, as the splendor of their glory bears witness.

From the Incarnation to the Ascension, the life of the Word incarnate is surrounded by the adoration and service of angels.

When God "brings the firstborn into the world, he says: ‘Let all God's angels worship him.'" (Heb 1:6)

Their song of praise at the birth of Christ has not ceased resounding in the Church's praise: "Glory to God in the highest!" (Lk 2:14)

They protect Jesus in his infancy, serve him in the desert, strengthen him in his agony in the garden, when he could have been saved by them from the hands of his enemies as Israel had been. (Cf. Mt 1:20; 2:13, 19; 4:11; 26:53; Mk 1:13; Lk 22:43; 2 Macc 10:29-30; 11:8)

Again, it is the angels who "evangelize" by proclaiming the Good News of Christ's Incarnation and Resurrection. (Cf. Lk 2:8-14; Mk 16:5-7)

They will be present at Christ's return, which they will announce, to serve at his judgment. (Cf. Acts 1:10-11; Mt 13:41; 24:31; Lk 12:8-9)

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 328 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt1art1p5.htm#328

With love in Christ.

No. The Holy Spirit of the Trinity is not the angel Gabriel; it is an aspect of God, while Gabriel is a created being.

Royal racer, WJWNB said 'the Angel of Revelation,' not 'the angel in the Revelation'...there's a difference. The Angel of Revelation refers to the angel that carries God's messages to the prophets, as you would know if you had read the entire question.

EDIT: DaveyDave, same goes for you. The Angel of Revelation does not mean the angel who plays a key role in the book of Revelation.

The Islams may equate him to part of the god-head but to Christians he is not the true Holy Spirit in the scripture.
Luke 1
26And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
35And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
If Gabriel was the Holy Spirit why didn't he just come upon her then. Or at least say I am coming back. No Gabriel is definately not the God the Holy Spirit.

no, St. Gabriel is just a creature, an angel created by the Holy Trinity (The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit). God bless.

When God created angels, Gabriel was the first, he is looked at as the defender of our faith, and the foe of Satan.
Catholics do not revere him as a God, or a part of any God.

No the Muslims are getting allah messed up in their thinking. Rausch Ha'Kodesh is the Holy Spirit in Hebrew. The molester of children Mohammad (cursed be his memory) plagiarized much of the true Word of God and changed it to fit his religion based on worship of the Pagan moon god Allah who he elevated to be the one true god. Well he also changed the role of Isaac (the son of the Promise) to be Ishmael (the son of the slave, who along with her mother was cast out by order of God). So it comes as no small surprise that Mohammad would misconstrue the role of Angels. His record is hardly one that would give him knowledge of things of Spirit. He was a Pedophile and a Mass Murdered, seems that people that would follow him are the same type that followed Adolph Hitler, basically He and Hitler used the same presentation. They both claimed to be saviors of their people, they both tried to make the Jews the enemy, and they both said follow and believe me or I will have you killed. That i why in Islamic Countries it is a Capital Offense to read or own a Bible. IN FREE COUNTRIES it is not illegal to own a Quran. But then no one said Mohammad came to set people free, he made slaves of them and that tradition was passed to the current leaders of his false religion. Interesting Histroical point, Jesus earthly family believed in Him, Mohammad's family did not follow his made up religion but remained in heir pagan beleifs. I guess they were smart enough to see him for what he was. A fake.
As for your comment about the Trintiy, Trinity was not accepted until the Roman Catholics forced it on people. There is One God, Jehovah who came and took on Human form whom we knew as Jesus, then He was crucified, and came back to indwell those that believe in him as the Holy Spirit, these are not 3 but one. Just as a man can be a Father, a Son, and a Husband but he is not 3 people.

You do realize you're talking about two different religions, separated by centuries and in different languages, right?

I could say my cat is the holy spirit. Doesn't make it true.
