Yes and no.
There is no definitive lab test for lupus.
Lab results in combination with your medical history and symptoms can lead a competent rheumatologist to make the proper diagnosis.
Some people with lupus with have a negative ANA. Some people with a positive ANA do not have lupus.
Some lab factors for lupus patients who up in some people and not in others.
Find a good rheumatologist.

SLE or non-SLE tyep, you can check the blood - ANA test, or anti-nuclear anti-body test.
Lupus is caused by the anti-body attacking your own internal organs and systems. When your hormones are not balanced (normally too high in progesterone), your lymph cells produce anti-body to attack your own system (it is supposed to attack microbes and tumors etc).
Yes, you can detect the anti-body (positive) in the blood to tell if you have lupus. However, how serious or which stage should be diagnosed by ovserving functions of your organs, joints, body tissues etc.

There is a specific test for lupus, but you should discuss it with your doctor. Lupus can disguise itself as many things, or you could have something completly different.
Let me correct myself, it seems that there isn't a specific test, but there are ways to test/screen for lupus.
