I had one years ago, I think me doc. gave me an ointment to put on it. It may have even been Lotimin an over the counter. Mine have never came back so you may need to ask a professional.

When I was a youngster which was many many years ago, I had a ringworm on the side of my head that made my hair fall out, It was huge. Not bad if your a boy right, but I am a girl & my mother swears that she got rid of it by blotting it with household bleach. No kidding, I have tried it on one I had several years ago on my forearm, from a stray kitten. It might sound freaky, but it is a lot cheaper than the meds the Dr. prescribed that didn't get rid of it.

Ringworm is actually a fungus, so if the over the counter treatment is not working you may need a prescription cream. Believe it or not bleach does work, water it down and use a cotton ball lsightly damp. You don't want to use too much and you don't want to use it near a lof of hair or on your face. Tea Tree oil can also help or try venegar.

I finally broke down and went to the doctor. (it kept hanging on) I got a prescription for a cream and have been using it faithfully 2 times a day. It is almost gone after 3 weeks. I am not familiar with using bleach, but that does sound rather drastic. Good luck to you.

Bluestar ointment has always worked well for me and my family. It is an anti-fungal, but is simply a camphor based natural ointment. Never had a recurrence after using it, by the way.

If it is constantly recurring then stronger anti-fungal medication is required. See a doctor for that.
