I am a fence sitter on this particular issue..
I can see it both ways.. Mankind is at a cusp..
With very little effort from very few people, mankind can easilly be eliminated..
The much harder task will be to learn, understand and compromise with each other to insure survival..
If nothing else it is a very interesting issue to watch and interact in, no matter which way it ends up tipping...

Dear brother or sister
My faith is in God not people but I could share this with you. Thinking of the future of mankind, I believe that mankind will endure with the help of Jesus Christ. Mankind must have the love of God in their hearts in order to endure in this world. Once mankind have love then mankind will be able to reach out and help each other in truth and in spirit standing with justice for all the human race.

Mankind will not endure. We as of now have endured countless wars with many lost of lives. But as mankind progress the destruction brought by these wars will also progress. As long as man continues to progress its weapons, mankind will not endure in the future. War can't be stopped because it is human nature and it is by human nature that mankind will fall.

It's pretty strong. I get in my car every day. That alone speaks volumes on how much faith I have in people. I also have a lot of faith teaching at a college with over 300 students at my campus. Of those 300, I see 80 of them every week. And most of them seem OK. That gives me a lot of hope. Some . . . not so much, but for the most part, I think we'll be OK.
But then again, I just watched Children of Men this weekend, and not only is the concept depressing, but Alfonso Curon or whatever his name is needs to be shot for making an incredibly great concept terribly dull. I hate the way he directs.
Sorry. Tangent.

Mankind has become less enduring every day,
people will drive around the parking lot several times, trying to find a space where they don't have to walk any farther than they have to.
if the dish washer breaks down they are in a panic, not to mention the Air Conditioner.
and heaven forbid if we have to walk to the store, or post office.
and how many do you know that refuse to go to a dentist, because they might feel a little pain.
boy that one hit home with me.
now when people go camping, the take a motorhome.

Mankind seems to be on the fast train to destruction, but God still has plans for us. I believe there are a lot of things that we will go thru before it is all over though. As for my faith in people I don't really have faith in people, my faith is in God alone. People will let you down sometime or other, but God never fails.

My faith in mankind was weak until I saw the atheists here and realized that there are still rational people left in the world (though the last two presidential elections were evidence to the contrary).

MY faith is very weak in mankind because they do whatever it takes to get ahead including but not limited to telling lies, cheating, stealing, and a lot of times murder. How could someone have any faith in mankind?

My faith in mankind is constantly renewed, and shall continue to be, for as long as I am alive.
Mankind is without limit in potential.

You know, I wonder...I can't figure out the mentality that money over survival. The CEO's that do not want emission laws, or water protection laws, or other survival means..what are they thinking, they may get millions for bonuses, but where are their children and grandchildren going to live? The companies chose the almighty dollar over future life. They send our jobs to other countries because they have cheaper labor and no environment laws...hmmm..smart or dumb?
