Yes your kitten can catch lots of disgusting things from playing with other cats unfortunately. I suggest a visit to your local vets would be of help. He certainly needs all his jabs, and something like Frontline putting on regularly to stop him becoming infested with fleas. He really ought to be neutered as well. There are far too many stray cats and kittens, so as a responsible person this should be one of your first tasks. When I had my little cat, she too encouraged stray cats so I used to dose them all with Frontline, and if I could catch them take them for health checks. If you cannot afford this perhaps your local Cats Protection League would help you out? Ours gives vouchers towards neutering and spaying of any cat. Enjoy your little one and look after him and he will reward you with unconditional love for many years.

well the advice already given has all been excellent, but didnt take into account the fact you are 16 and cant afford the ruinous prices vets charge, you really do need vaccinations tho, cant you get any christmas money early? eventually your kitten will get into a fight, cat bites can carry feline AIDS, abcesses will happen! you could be lucky, and your cat could have a mega immune system, its clear you cant do much about your kitten, but please make sure it gets good quality food at least, years ago there were no vaccinations or anything for domestic pets, and they seemed to survive ok, so there is hope.
One thing tho, if its a boy and you dont get him fixed he will wander, and maybe never come back, if its a girl kittens are a certantity, and that is an expensive venture, feeding mother and kittens costs a bomb, plus there are enough unwanted cats around without adding to the problem, you are going to have to talk to your parents, see if they can help, sometimes if a family are on benefits the Blue Cross will help out with costs, but you've got no chance if youre not, good luck anyway!

Your cat needs to be vaccinated so he won't catch any of the worst diseases from these other cats. Also, hope he's neutered!
Look in yellow pages for no-kill shelters in your area that can pick this poor cat up, he really needs help. And call the ASPCA on your neighbours, they suck. I'd really make them suffer for kicking out a cat if that was me - I mean, really.

Take your cat to the vet to get him tested for feline leukemia and FIV. And keep him inside, because you are right that you have no idea what kinds of diseases these other cats might be carrying. The safest thing to do is keep your cat inside. If you feel that he's lonely consider adopting another cat.

the best way to find out is to take your kitten to the vets and have it checked out. you may be able to ask your neighbor or the owner if the cat with worms and bad fur is really sick. because there are bad people in this world who do not take care of their animals very good. i am not trying to be mean to your neighbor but your best bet is to get your kitten checked out.
my cat loves to be outside and we are afraid that she will run away. so i have a bit of the same problem but we hate having her inside also. if we keep her inside she sits by the door and meows. so we like to her to outside. it is a good thing that you have a good eye on your cat and you are concerned.

Your cat absolutely 100% should not be outside with any other cats until his full course of vaccines have been completed. It's irresponsible to let him out there until he's completely immunized.

Keep your cat in and take him out on a leash. Yes, your cat can contract diseases and fleas from the other cats.
