Well I don't get hurt but I can definatley see why some people get offended by some of the language people choose to use. I never said I reported anyone but I can see why some do it is only common sense to know that Spiritual people don't like vulgure language. I actually think it is funny that people whine about it cause they know whats coming when they say that kind of stuff they should expect to get reported!

I agree they shouldn't be reported if they aren't being vulgure or racist, but the people I am talking about are the ones who know they are trying to offend the people who type in ?'s.

Because the vulgar stuff is actually a small %. People tend to report just because they don't like the person, or the person is of another faith. I've seen legitimate questions get reported just because the name of the asker has Atheist in it somewhere. Or Pagan. Or Muslim. The one's I see whine the most are usually doing the exact thing they whine about others doing. I think if you see something you find offensive, then you skip the question all together... or the answer, whichever the case may be. Why get upset over something in a place which you have control over what you see? It's like those people who get upset over what they see on TV... as George Carlin once stated "There's 2 knobs on the TV... one changes the channel... the other turns if on and off... pick one"

I do have a life. This section does suit me. =)

I got violations for protesting against what I felt was racist or at least anti a nationality and similarly protesting at vulgarity (extreme) and real malice. I got retractions and apology. Now I am careful what I say and how I word my protests but I will continue to pick up on these things and I will report (even if I get penalised for it) this kind of thing. There is a time and a place for swearing if you feel so inclined so all but the worst I can ignore, but there is no place for racism and spite and sorry if that offends the perpetrators I will not ignore that nor tolerate injustice... and here endeth the 2nd lesson from St.Dot!

I have seen people who have had their accounts deleted for really no reason. Their answers and questions weren't rude or vulgar. I just think there are some people who can't handle it if someone disagrees with them or has an opinion they don't approve of. So instead of trying to understand or learn from the situation, they try to silence the people.

I only post in the Open Answers section and am continually given violations from people on R&S. I don't want to offend anyone on R&S as it's your right to think what you want. I only wish to be extended the same courtisy as you would expect. I would never knowingly post on R&S as I do not subscribe to any of the positions held by any of the worlds religeons. I have answered this in good faith and respect of your views, Please treat mine with the same respect. Thank You.

It's very difficult to offend nobody when you're in this section. Pangel is the least offensive regular and she got her account deleted. People will report for no reason sometimes, hence people getting mad about it.

I've never said anything vulger or hateful, yet I have been reported. All it takes is some pinhead who disagrees with you and you get reported. Then there are people like the guy below me who is just asking for it.

Mostly people get reported for disagreeing with some half-wit dips. I can't see any reason to report someone who isn't being vulgar or racist. People who report people who disagree will answer to their God, don't you think? Or do you think your God is so stupid that He thinks its OK to harass people who disagree. I would like to see that Bible passage. "Go forth and harass all those who disagree with your feeble understanding of My word" Right?

I get violations all the time that make no sense at all. I win about half of them back on appeal, so people are reporting things that DON'T deserve it. They only disagree with the answer.

I agree. I wish anyone who doesn't have a religious or spiritual belief would just stay off here. They come on here only to insult people and push their view that anyone who has beliefs is stupid. If they really wanted to learn, it would be different.

It depends on your threshhold as to what you see as hurtful or spiteful, or wether you actually get if its a joke or if you get Irony.
