Why doesn't the US put pressure on Mexico to try and put a stop to illegal immigration? Because illegal immigration puts downward pressure on American wages and therefore benefits big business...and who do you think contributes most of the millions required by politicians to get elected? Big business...so why are they going to try and stop illegal immigration, thereby making it more expensive for them to hire workers? They're not.

Because Mexico is an American economic ally so we turn the other way when the Mexican government passes out water and tips for those illegals crossing the deserts and will protest about the ways that US communities collect and send illegals back across the border(that has just happened in Irvine, Texas). The we must realize the Mexican government has profited for many years from these illegals...they make money and the US makes money on this very issue. Just think og=f the money that flows to the border for border controls and the whole way we deal with illegals. Did you know that the way illegals are transported across the border has changed. It is more expensive and the drug cartells are in on it now...Trucking them in is big business and don't forget that so many still die in the crossing. We still don't deal with the economic poverty causing reasons that people are willing to risk their lives to become illegals in America. Neither government takes the poverty and its causes seriously nor do they even talk about the whys.

Very few countries will prevent the freedom of movement of people to come and go from their country, unless there is a legal reason to do so, such as a domestic or international warrant for their arrest, probation or parole conditions imposed by a court of law, or trade and travel embargoes in place.
The US border problems will have to be solved by the US. No one else is going to do it for them. Do you really think if Mexico imposed a law to prohibit Mexican nationals from crossing the border into the States, it would make any difference? Mexicans would still be crossing the border much the same as they are now, and no law either by the US or Mexico will stop them.

First of all I am not Mexican, I am latin american, I did lived in USA for some time during my school years, great years, been back in your country several times, vacation only would not want to live there, different is not necessarly bad but regarding this question I guess you are not realizing that freedom of movement is also granted by any democratic GOV. in the whole world and the most important thing you seem have forgotten the fact that USA (United States of America, NOT JUST AMERICA) was founded based on inmigration, that is your history, that is the one strong reason that made your parents so great, it was not the wars they fougth or what ever countries they conquer with or with out reason... Now USA is a role model to follow as a country, but being such a strong country also comes with great responsabilities, and you had forgotten also that many if not all of your neighbors (excluding Canada) are not in great shape look up Latin America, if they where in good conditions ask your self why would they leave their family and life just for a couple of bucks (almost always underpaid wages and crappy jobs) Don´t forget that in the past USA has also taking advantage of other countries just look at Panama, El Salvador even Nicaragua, and all of Central America and many Caribbean countries and when did loose interest and the strategic army base is no longer needed just left them on their own and now you wonder why they want to imigrate and there is caos that begun because of the intervention of USA Gov. supporting corruption...remember Somoza?, He was as many other dictators supported by USA, or even former Panama president also a former close lfriend to USA who is now held prisonner in one of your jails, who made USA judge of the rest of the world?... is it right what goes on in IRAK? Has the war anything to do with the fact that this is a country filled with petroleum??? weird right??, You have a great country, I honestly admire and respect, and have a lot of real good friends, but maybe the way to stop that what is bothering could be triying to help other countries to have better life conditions so people would not think of inmigrate. That is just a thoght of some one who truly admires you as a country.

Why should the Mexican government do that? We enforce our own laws, not them. Even if they made it illegal, they couldn't do anything about it because the person would be here.

Cheap labor for corporations, that is why we don't pressure the Mexican govt. There is a lot going on here and it isn't necessarily in the press. Soon the dems will be in power, the Middle Class will be extinct and there will be cheap (almost slave) labor for the corporate thugs to exploit. The Rothchilds will be happy. Welcome to the new America.

Such a law wouldn't make sense. Mexico's citizens make a lot of money from renumeration from it's people working in the U.S. It wouldn't make sense for us either. The two countries most responsible for our good economy are China and Mexico. We need favorable relations with both.

Jorge Bush doesn't want to piss off Mexico - he has stated he doesn't want them to be upset. Congress doesn't care. They are more concerned about Mexican citizens than US citizens!
Personally I call that being a traitor but what do I know. I'm just a dumb voter to them.
