My friend has a very small spot by here eye. It like a tiny pimple (zit), but doesn't go away. It is yellow in colour, causes no discomfort, but wont "pop".

What is it and how would she get rid of it? Thanks.

It isn't in the eye, about an inch to the outside of it.

It could be a sty, and using a warm washcloth over it could help. Do not try to pop it as it can spread. It is caused by a clogged tear duct or infection.

It could be a tiny deposit of fat, since it is yellow and doesn't hurt. Leave it alone.
