Yes. Designers want all women dead. Right now.
See, their logic is that if they kill off all the women, then their would be nobody to buy their products. So ultimately the goal of designers is to KILL the people who make them MONEY.
Just because fat is visually unappealing doesn't mean that designers want people to starve.

What? While I agree that you'd be hard pressed to find a woman %100 satisfied with her body, I hardly think women are dropping like flies from starvation.
We have an obesity problem in this country, and a handful of girls that could be called dangerously underweight.
So what exactly are you basing this question on, and how does "Get Smart" come into play? What was that guys name again? I'm too young for the show, but I liked Inspector Gadget. Now that I have to commute, you wouldn't believe how many times I've mumbled under my breath "go go gadget copter!"

If one is to believe an idiotic designer I will not name, he wanted anorexic women because woman breasts destroyed the line of the women clothes he designed. So flat everywhere is the best answer to those annoying curves one had to accommodate before. Ignore the curves, refute that they exist, and presto, you have nice women clothes. It doesn't matter that they don't fit most women.

well you should teach your children to model after real people. models are meant to model clothes so to have a curvacious body would be distracting, although the industry is changing. not all models are anorexic some of them actually work hard to maintain that skinny 109 lb body.

I don't want a woman who will break when I give her a hug... models are rather unrealistic, both to the reality of the average healthy woman, and the desires of the average reasonable man.

They prefer an adolescent vision of beauty. They use models who are teenagers. 21 would be considered old for most models.
As the girls age, they are forced into anorexia to retain their adolescent figures.
They have an adolescent ideal of feminine beauty.
The same could be said for male models...they always appear as very trim, but muscular looking...much like an adolescent boy of perhaps 16. Grown men do not look like that unless they are themselves anorexic or something.
