Oh, when I feel the presence of God, nothing matters but Him. You are right that His presence seems to wash away hurts and unforgiveness, everything in the world at that moment seems beautiful. It is as close to heaven as we can get. To stand before Him, revealing ourself as we are is very gratifying.

I think I'd rather have odin give me a fatherly slap on the back and tell me I need to live in life. Becuse the fact that we are all here together is above religion.

So sort of. Allfather gives me the strength to tackle my problems. Becuse he shows the way of wisdom.

Fine. Figure out a way to feed your family, get enough rest, educate your children, and get medical care via worshiping God.

The last I heard, work, sleep, school, and healthcare were still a major part of ideal daily life.

dear jc
althouth worship is an important part of religion ,isn't it true that a man will also be judged by his works? i think it is equally impotant to do as much good work(deeds) during our short time in this realm as it is to give lipservice to our deity.
i.e. better to walk the walk.

Really... so they are at their most perfect when they're burning a woman at the stake for the sake of their religion after they're proclaimed her a witch?

So they're at their most perfect when committing genocide because their bible doesn't like certain people?

So they're at their most perfect when denying people the right to marry for love because they don't like that those people are of the same sex?

Oh yeah.. they're perfect all right. They're perfect jerks.

I don't mind people worshipping god, as long as it makes them nicer, kinder, happier, friendlier and more tolerant, especially to those who don't worship god.

In my experience, though, around half the time it does the opposite.
