Describe the size, quantity, and kind of each measuring utensil needed to measure the quantities listed below.

1 and 3/4 c. flour-

1 and 1/3 c. sugar doubled-
1 qt. milk cut in half

I would recommend you grab the measuring cups from the pantry and pretend to make these measurements - for the milk use 1 qrt of water and pour in to a liquid measure (most homes have a Pyrex measure cup that is from 2-4 cups) it is a good exercise and you will be able to answer subsequent questions more easily. If you don't have access to measuring cups try drawing them. This is more a visual exercise in observation than math and a real life example would answer it best. Good luck!

Measuring cups come in 2 classes ;Dry and wet.They cannot be use interchangeably
Basic arithmetic
Convert all whole numbers to fractions
If you are increasing a quantity , multiply the numerator by the quantity
If you are decreasing a quantity ,multiply the denominator by the quantity
