i am looking for my grand fathers obituary listing if i can find it and stuff. his name is timothy w devoe. he died when my mom was between the ages of 4-6 yrs old and she is 43 now. if anyone could help me plz email me at JessicaSquires85@yahoo.com

I would say try the Bureau of vital statistics or the census bureau. You may also want to check the local newspaper for the dates around the time of his death. if you check your local library for those dates you can view them on their records.

Do you know where he was buried? Check with the cemetery and see what info they have. Then check with the library in the city where he died. They usually charge $2 for a copy but you really need to know the date of death. You usually will not find free obits on or off line.

Start with the cemetery. You'll get free info there and then work your way from there.

I believe the Mormon church in Bloomfield keeps all kinds of gene logical records. Bloomfield Family History Center 1-800-242-1607. If they don't have it perhaps they can tell you where else to try.
