What do you think of the name Riley for a boy? Just curious...

Also, I'm pregnant with a little girl. What do you think she'll look like? I have deep red/brown (auburn) hair and blue eyes. My husband has light brown hair and blue eyes. Our first daughter, Tessa, has strawberry-blonde hair and violet eyes (seriously). My grandmother and my husband's great-grandfather (I believe) both had violet eyes as well.
What do you think Teagan Lily (my little girl) will look like?
I know that there's no telling for sure, but I just want your guesses.

Thanks! Best answer goes to someone who's answered both of my questions.

Caitlin - I appreciate your answer, and I agree that Teagan is a trendy name, but I'm using it to honor another family member who's passed on...thanks anyway. I'm not going to bash you just for disagreeing. And, yes, if she dislikes her name she can go by Lily.

Jenna, on the other hand, I do not appreciate your answer. Yes, you say you agree with Caitlin but you just seem plain rude to me. Sorry.

xXo

Riley sounds like a good name. Also, I LOVE the name Teagan Lily. I adore that name. Love it.

Violet eyes?! Oh my god, LUCKY. She's going to be beautiful when she gets older.

I'd say the baby sounds like another violet-eyed girl, with brown-ish hair. It's really difficult with hair colour, because my mother is a natural blonde, and my father has black hair, but I have a mixture of red, brown, and blonde.

You're going to have some absolutely beautiful children =].

Hey. I'm glad to see that you stuck with Teagan Lily for a girl. It's beautiful. Well... I think she'll probably take after you and your husbands traits this time.Just a guess.. Blue eyes and light brown hair. It might go blond as a child if your hair and your husbands hair was that way as children or there is some ancestry of that. Her hair might go darker as she gets older. Violet eyes would be nice again because that sounds gorgeous but I have learned that there is 1 chance of 4 that the baby will take after you (auburn hair), 1 of 4 of your husband, and 1 in 4 chances of other family members. Both you and your husband have blue eyes so there is a 2 in 4 chance that she will have blue eyes. There's also a 2 in 4 chance she'll have violet eyes. Whatever happens I'm sure you will have a beautiful child!
I like the name Riley for a boy but it is being feminized right now and I think I'd rather use it on a girl.
Hope this helps. Congratulations and Good luck to you and your family!Have fun with your new little princess!

Lol Riley is the name I have picked out for a boy ~Riley James to be more accurate. I love the name Teagan Lily, thats so cute. IMO Your baby girl will most likely have light hair maybe strawberry blond again. Since you both have blue eyes, I would say Blue eyes, but since violet eyes (sounds gorgeous) seem to be a dominant trait, chances are she may have them. Good luck to you!

Riley's an okay name for a boy. Reminds me of the guy from season 4 of Buffy, and I hated that character so it's a bit tainted for me.

Teagan on the other hand just sounds trendy and lame. Lily's very pretty, though, maybe she'll chose to go by that when she's older.

probably the baby will be born with violet eyes and a head full of dark hair probably brown, she will be beautiful! congratulations! as for Riley for a boy it is better than trying to give that name to a girl but i really do not care for it either way!good luck.

I like the name Riley, but I am hearing it more in girls, so be careful!
To be honest, my twin daughters look nothing like my husband and me. We are Mexican and have olive skin with brown eyes. They have very fair skin with green eyes.....though green and blue eyes do run in my dad's family. It's hard to compare with your first daughter too, because many siblings look nothing alike.

My great grandson is named Riley, and I really like it. He is a great kid.
Your child will look like a beautiful little girl, and no matter what color eyes she has, or hair, she will be beautiful. She will probably look a little more like you. I have found that the first looks more like the dad, but the second more like the mom. Congradulations .

I love Reilly for a boy, though popular, but I'd use this strictly-masculine spelling myself. ;)

And it seems fair to assume your second daughter will look very similar to the first. We have three daughters, and they simply look like different-sized versions of one another. LOL Since you and your husband both have blue eyes, it's possible she might look like the first but with more bluish eye color ... but I'd be more than happy to bet on the violet! ;) Hope that helps!

Riley is a very nice boy name and it isn't overused. Your little girl probably will look a lot like the first one but it is possible she might have true blond hair but with your background she will be a beautiful child.
