report it to the company tech support.

I have a 50inch Samsung DLP (rear projection) tv and the black is pretty dark. I always call tech support if i'm not satisfied with the performance of a product. I just dont like using something that can be working better ..and the way its supposed to work.

Hope you get a good response.

Try re-adjusting the brightness, contrast, and other settings in the picture adjustment menu. Likely that all your original settings were lost or corrupted becuase of the problem or when the set was worked on. If you have no luck, call the shop where it was repaired.

Your CRTs were "rebalanced"....

And while it is easy to adjust, it isn't <>
WITH the same LIGHTING....

Get the TV repair shop out to your home and have them adjust it.....MAKE SURE your room lighting is EXACTLY the way you watch TV....

They'll be able to bump down the screen controls so your blacks are black.....
