I want to put my daughter in a homeschool but I worry that she will lack all the social opportunities of public school. Does anyone know if there are home school groups that have Cliques, you know like popular kids, nerds, etc? Also I don't want her to miss out on being a cheerleader or homecoming queen or student body president. Does anyone know of Homeschool programs that will provide those opportunities to my daughter?

Blaire this is a serious question. I want to give my daughter all the opportunities of a public school but I don't want her being taught things like Math or Science so I thought a home school would be better. I also want to give her the opportunity to lose her virginity. How do you think would be the best way to do that?

Maybe you could google "Homeschool for the popular kids" or something.
It is very important that every young girl be a Cheerleader.

Homeschooling is educating one's child at home and via other resources. You, therefore, cannot put your daughter in a homeschool. You would be the homeschooler (parent-teacher), and she would be the "homeschoolee" (student).
There are homeschool groups which may offer co-op classes where students are in a classroom type of setting one or more days a week. However, there will, more than likely, be no cliques, most popular students, nerds, etc. Being a cheerleader, homecoming queen, or student body president will not be possible in a homeschool group environment.
Perhaps a private school would be a better situation for your daughter, or if she chooses to forego the interests you mentioned, homeschooling may work out very well for her.

Hi,
Before I answer your question....the first response to this question was by happy.... and I quote
"Cliques and social circles, teasing, feeling akward are neccessities for all children. it builds charactor. dont rob your child of the same opportunites of learning REAL social interaction. "
happy you need to reevaluate your life and philosophies if you are serious about that comment. Those things you mention are not necessities for any child, they definitely do not build character and should not be confused by anyone as being anything close to "REAL social interaction.
Now to the question asked. YOU home school your child, not PUT her in a home school.
What possible reason could you have to object to her learning math and science?
Does she have any interest in being a cheerleader, homecoming queen or student body president? Or do you want to recapture your missed opportunities through your daughter?
As far as the virginity issue, I think I would be safe in thinking that with your guidance, losing that valuable gift will, unfortunately, be no problem.
Leave her in school, I think it would be safe to say that as bad as the influences at school may be, having your influence all day might be worse.
Sorry about the tone of this but I have never experienced a parent who doesn't want their child to learn an important life skill (Math) and is so anxious to have their daughter lose her virginity. Guess it takes all kinds.

Hah. Homeschool kids aren't into "cliques". They're used to being around mature adults who don't care about "cliques".
As for the socialization, you can google "Homeschool groups, your state" and get quite a few results. Most communities have sports groups (i.e. cheerleading, tennis, ect) so you shouldn't have to worry about that. And if she's already been in public schools for a while, she'd have her own friends anyway, and they could all still hang out.

I think you are looking for private school. I am picturing your daughter sitting in the living room doing Algebra 2, with her tiara on her head and wearing a cheer leading uniform. Sorry, it just doesn't sound like homeschool issues.

Homeschoolers are taught Math and Science (at least they are at my house).
The rest of your question shows clearly that you are a troll.

i think the whole purpose of homeschooling is to avoid all those circles. sure people might argue they wanna avoid traffic, or bad influneces, but i think its all bs. if you didnt go to public school then i can understand why this question even came up but otherwise, why do the research. Cliques and social circles, teasing, feeling akward are neccessities for all children. it builds charactor. dont rob your child of the same opportunites of learning REAL social interaction. Cheerleaders need a team to cheer for so unless she cheers at the homecoming football game featuring you vs. your wife, which equate to both varsity and junior varsity games, your robbing her of a very valuable life experience.
