My fiance is in boot camp right now and I was just wondering where he is going to be for his A school...or at least the possibilities. Does anyone know where they're located? I've looked online, but I can't find a list. Thanks.

It's on board Naval Training Center Great Lakes, Illinois, north of Chicago. The headquarters of the school is 601 D Street at the Naval Training Center.

HM A school is across the tracks at NTC Great Lakes. It is self paced now. C schools are in various locations across the country, including Balboa in San Diego and Portsmouth in Hampton Roads.

Good catch on the spelling issue, We Marines and Corpsman tend to be a bit touchy about these things. Sorry not sure about A school locale though, I can tell you where SOI is though.

It's in San Diego now. They closed the HM "A" school in Great Lakes.

It is still in GL, IL. I have a friend who went there last year, she said is was self paced now.
