I'm not convinced that they have contingency plans to "shut down" our economy, but the other stuff is the reality of modern warfare. You think we don't attack their military computers and have plans to jam their communications in the event of war? My point is, that isn't that unusual and isn't necessarily indicative of specific hostile intent. The build up of their navy (blue water, diesel-electric subs), ballistic missiles, anti-ship missiles, aviation assets, and improved C4ISR do show hostile intent. So does the recent pinging of our satellites. They want Taiwan and they are warning us, using many not so subtle hints that it won't be worth it for us to stand in their way. They also want oil and expansion into the Pacific and Indian oceans. I do think this is not a high enough priority in our national security planning, in my opinion it is not just a threat, but the only credible threat to our security in the next twenty years.

I hope so. We are trying to police the world and we are not big enough to handle the job.
I wish we would mind our own business and fix our own countries problems; because we aren't, we have the world hating us, and allowing our borders open to "whosoever will."
You reading this may judge me and think I do not care about the tragedies of the rest of the world, very wrong, I do care.
We have bitten off more than we can chew and will not be able to help any one if China along with the other America haters join forces against us.
You Christians who live in a fairy tale world thinking this could never happen to America should , wise up, pray up, and be ready, God is slowly lifting His hand of protection because of the very things we see on R&S every day, Blasphemy, abortion, homosexual tolerance, etc. Look at the damaging storms in the last few years, lives lost in tornados, hurricanes, etc.
Those of you in the "Born again club" better wise up, I say this in love. Read Revelation 21:8 if you think this is a game.
I am speaking to the Christian.
Blessings
EDIT: sorry semper fi, I didn't even look. I thought we were in Religion and Spirituality

I don't know what you've been reading or listening to, but if America isn't China's largest customer for their exports, we're a very close second. To "shut down" our economy would create considerable problems for them economically. If nothing else positive could be said about China, that one thing which remains is that they are not stupid. Regarding military computers and our ability to communicate, all (or at least most) first world countries have contingency plans prepared for most circumstances that may arise in war. America probably has a very similar plan for China.

till the US invasion, the voters of Iraq have been way extra advantageous knowledgeable than individuals with a a lot greater fee of literacy. they're clever human beings, maximum of whom enjoyed a extreme usual of living till the individuals destroyed the country. the US invaded with a view to regulate the territory to help Israel and the oil for individuals. As for something of our placed up, you appear to be difficult many distinctive cultures. i might recommend that slightly on line study may well be a solid thought. in case you think of that the middle East is in the back of the west, you're able to desire to pass to Dubai as an occasion of a place it incredibly is two decades basically before the US. basically seem on the form there. there is not something to examine it in the west.

Though they are the leaders of stolen technology, I'm not convinced they would benefit from shutting us down (assuming they can). Their commerce is heavily dependent on American demand for their goods. They shut us down, and most of their business and monies coming into China comes to a screeching halt. Not to mention we have a strong a diversified infrastructure with regards to land lines don't forget. They might (and that's a big might) be able to shut down our wireless technology but I seriously doubt they can completely shut down Ma Bell.
