I think the answer must be yes. We profited from exploitation under 'The Empire' and owe a debt to the races that come here. It is not a guestion of them integrating with us but more us accepting them and hoping they forgive us for the past.

It seems to me that most of the current immigrants have nothing to do with 'Empire' so they should adapt to us and not the other way round.

Oh, deary, me! The only thing that I feel all apologetic about is that I can do nothing to stop all of you guys from hearing Mr Christie's claptrap. I have not intentions at all into becoming a squirming maggot so that I can apologise for events that took place a couple of hundred years ago. I know full well what happened in history but we have all moved on now and we do not need someone with a mass murderer's handle to ask us to rejoice!

Asking a silly question like that has only helped in fuelling people's anger and, although I am no politician, I can see for myself that their are a lot of unhappy bunnies out their who simply want a good deal better from their government. This will not happen and using apologetics will only inflame the anger many people are experiencing.

Rejoice at the prospect of being ethnically cleansed! why would I or anyone else do that? The New Labour agenda is to saturate the country with immigrants until the Native Britain is no longer in a position to do anything about it. That's why they removed the annual immigration limit from 50000 to 250000 a year. Of course that does not include illegals and those coming into the country in the last 60 years. I f you are a Native Britain you are actually agreeing to be speedily removed. Why would you or any other Native want that?

Slavery is a complicated issue and was common practise to all peoples and known countries of the world. Slavery did not start in Africa. Every country had slavery even the Native population in this country were owned by their masters.

There is nothing to forgive. When your race dies because a minority of liberal minded people cannot accept that mistakes have been made by all (yes even by those so called black slaves), then you have to ask yourself 'why do we want our people to be phased out with out a fight'?. You know what? I want my people to survive

I f you are a British Native, please tell me why you are condoning Reverse Racialism?

We have had a multi-cultural society as long as people have been living on the island. British? Where are the Britons now? English? So you're a descendant of the Angles from Germany are you? Isn't Saxony over there as well? Normans - Viking settlers from Northern France. When exactly was this country not "multi-cultural"? As British as Queen Victoria? So German grandfather, German mother and married your first cousin, also a German. Anybody ever hear of Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark? (Maybe we should repatriate the entire Royal Family as they are all foreigners and reliant on State hand-outs)
This country grew rich from exploitation of other races and continues to attempt to maintain it's priveleged position by doing so. It is a little late to "rejoice" though. We have always been multi-cultural as have most nations.

What debt?
Neither I, nor any other living Brit had anything to do with the Empire. I refuse to feel guilt for the deeds of others.

Are we going to demand an apology from Rome, on account of the Roman empire? What about the Norman and Saxon invasions? Are we to be compensated?

Plus, incase you forget, Britain was a leader in the abolition of slavery, an act that still goes on in a lot of European countries (amongst others) to this day. We also pulled a lot of countries from the fire during WW1 and 2.

A multicultural society can work up to a point. If that point means the loss of our own culture and way of life, it's too high of a price to pay.

the politically correct answer is yes, the realistic answer is no. you question is worrying. you expect us to make up for what our ancestors did?! we dont owe a debt and even if there was a debt owing. it wasnt us that developed the "empire". they have no need to forgive us. we havnt done anything to them. you have misplaced guilt. the empire was generations and generations ago, and to be perfectly fair, the countries we "occupied" we left and returned in a better state, with the exception of a few most reverted back to the struggling countries they were. but hey maybe your right and we should welcome everyone with open arms and give all this country has to give because of the "past". wake up. its exactly this type of thought and ideology thats bringing this country to its knees. go wring your hands elsewhere.

Multi-cultural meaning adding LEGAL immigrants into our melting pot and naturalizing them as citizens? Yes, I love the idea.

Multi-cultural meaning giving ILLEGAL aliens amnesty and a fast track to citizenship? NO NO NO NO NO NO NO We have enough home grown criminals and scofflaws...we don't need to import more.

And re: "forgiving us for the past." Most of us aren't full of white guilt...and certainly not from the ancestors of those who engaged in human sacrifice and other atrocities. Puhleez.

In a word, no. The English, Scots, Welsh and Irish owe no debt to these immigrants. Colonialism brought order and civility to many of the countries from which these immigrants come, particularly those in Africa. There appears to be an acknowledgment that their land rightfully belonged to them, yet never such an acknowledgment that the British Isles belongs to the ethnic Celts, Anglo-Saxons, etc. The Irish never benefited from colonialism, yet we are forced to accept an open borders policy to half of Nigeria and Ghana. We see the escalating crime rates, the establishment of black ghettoes, and we're asked to foot the bill for these immigrants. Why? What do we owe these people? We are small nations in size, and there simply is no room for this influx of black immigrants. If you want to bury your head in the sand, go back to reading your Guardian. Multiculturalism is a threat to our society and way of life, not to mention our blood.

Every country in the world got its land and power the same way. We had no empire and have the same issues with overstressed schools and services by too many people coming who are too poor to contribute their cost that you do.

When I visit Italy, I expect to see Italians; France, French people; Germany, Germans etc, etc,

If I were an Eastern European or of African decent, I would want to rebuild my own country and be proud of it. Sure it's never easy, as the history books tell us but the cultures who come here, come here to bleed our resources first and to integrate last.

We all know that most enjoy and prefer their own cultures, as I do being an indigenous white British male.

Other cultures are wonderful, as are other countries, climates, traditions, food, religions etc.

As we integrate, we slowly but surely dilute and lose those very attributes we admired in each other.

No is my answer . . . integrate by understanding, not by emigrating. As for economics, it is a very short lived injection to any ones economy, so my advice is to look ahead to future generations and not selfishly reward the present.
