Well, NO ONE IS BRAINWASHED.

Atheists believe for whatever reason there is NO GOD. They get this from their peers who also make credible arguments. They use scientific evidence when clearly THERE IS NO SCIENTIFIC PROOF/DISPROOF THAT THERE IS A GOD.

Christians/ all religious people believe that there is a god because of what their religion tells them.

Faith is not based on knowledge nor is it based on lack of knowledge. It is something we cannot explain and will never be able to explain, it comes down to what YOU feel is correct.

PS I have known retarded atheists who sound brainwashed and purge up bad pen and teller episodes and I have met Christians who are too stupid to read the bible and follow that but go by popular opinion.

I'm curious. Who's brainwashing us? About four people in my life have explained to me the rationale behind the belief that there aren't any gods. Contrast that with teachers, clergy, religious acquaintances and random evangelists and you'd probably end up with over a hundred encounters. That's not brainwashing either, of course, but it's a lot closer.

Right, because it's us Atheist who spend one day out of the week praying to the magical skydaddy. It's us Atheist who indoctrinate our kids to be timid sheeple. I guess if you don't like Atheist you can say they are "brainwashed" by Satan but that would just be a scapegoating tactic similar to saying Jews are poisoning our water supply. Show me some proof of Atheist,on a large scale, going around and trying to evangilize(recruit) people like your religion likes to do.

I wouldn't call atheists brainwashed. It's a little too harsh. I do believe that they should study both sides of the issue before reaching their conclusions. Many have but just not enough of them. Being absurd or insulting doesn't sway anyone. (Not directed at the person asking.)

You can not brainwash atheists, because they do not believe in anything, unless they see hard evidence.

OK, another one we are in agreement on. They THE ATHIESTS say we are brainwashed. Not at all so, but they can believe it. ITs all fredom of choice. WE KNOW that they are the ones that are brainwashed. God says we either follow HIm or the devil, that there are no other options., and when we wont choice for God, the devil is automatically our master. WE serve Jesus and when we wont, it is the devil that is our master, whether we know it or believe it or not. SO the devil is the one that causes doubt, confusion, and just talks to them in a way that is easy for them to know, without having a clue who is talking to them, telling them anything they want to do is ok and that they never have to believe in the myth God.
But, we who know God, know HIs word, and HE says we must believe in Jesus to be saved, and we must say Yes to Him and NO to sin. God tells us IF YOU LOVE ME< OBEY ME> All are called, but only a few will answer. D evil tells ppl how much they have to give up of their precious sins, and that this god stuff is all a lie.
But, those of us that KNOW Gods word, study it, and pray, we do KNOW.
But, we can only pray for them, and leave them to GOd. WE can speak when opportunity presents itself, but most have hard hearts towards the gospel and wont hear any of it.
Just keep praying, its all we have left.

fair comment. when taken to extremes this criticism is just the atheist's version of "you're blinded by satan".

however, i checked, and my brain is pretty dirty.

if i have been brainwashed, it's been done by christians, socialists, secularists, scientists - by poets and philosophers.

your argument seems no more sophisticated than the schoolyard reply, "i know you are but what am i".

i'd say because most atheists aren't forced into their conclusions...there's no such thing as an atheist church or movement. atheists come to their own realisations and then come to seek likeminded people. brain washing required others doing the brain work for you.

Credulity is a religious quality. It is hard to brainwash without it.
