It depends on location. Most physicians want to live on either coast ( New York or San Francisco) So there is difficulty getting jobs there but not inbetween. Neurosurgeons have a very high salary while pediatricians and general family practice is low . Keep in mind that malpractice insurance may be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars so to give a salary amount may be misleading. Also, family time is limited. In any event, what they make is shameful compared to sports players salaries.
