It has to do with a number of factors I believe. The first being socialist democracy. Democracy has been called "two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner" and I think it sums it up nicely.
A "hand-out" system will eventually corrupt even the best work ethic of the most respectable germanics, but for minorities it is a free-for-all. The poor will always outnumber the rich and when the poor are given the same amount of voting power as the rich it is only a matter of time until they vote themselves the national treasury. The framers of the American Constitution understood this and only allowed land-owning males the right to vote because they understood that only those who have a vested interest in the affairs of the government should have a say in government.

Politics & Government
➔ Politics
The greatest fallacy in the world is to give someone who can't make money, buy land, or lead a normal life a say in government. What makes people believe that individuals who are failures are going to make a wise choice altogether, I will never know. Governments don't run on good intentions but are governed by the same laws of nature that guide everything else here on earth; governments cannot take blood from a stone nor can they create wealth, they really only consume wealth.
When governments start taking orders from those who can't even balance their own checkbook, we know the end is near. All Democracies have ended in a dictatorship because one day the "free lunch" is over and someone has to stand up and say this and be prepared to "bash some heads" when the hangovers start from the democracy/socialism induced free-for-all.

Mr. Bad Day - Sorry friend but, your answer just doesn't have much substance. College philosophy class… that’s exactly what it is, philosophy. Usually best left in the Scuola di Atene… While I obviously appreciate what philosophy brings us. Reality is exactly that, reality. The proof is in the pudding, they among others are steering this nation down the wrong path.

While I agree totally with your comments as regards to socialism, the "free lunch," etc., you seem to have answered your own question, i.e. the poor, unemployed, and uneducated overwhelmingly vote Democrat because the Democrats are promising a hand-out, something for nothing. What these people don't understand is that THE POOR AND MIDDLE CLASS ALWAYS BEAR THE BIGGEST BURDEN WHEN TAXES INCREASE. the rich can "contribute" enough to politicians to ensure a tax break and they can afford attorneys and accountants who specialize in tax breaks. So they raise taxes on the poor to pay for more benefits for the poor. Who wins? The only people in American who can pay themselves with tax dollars and can get an automatic raise even though they operate at a deficit every single year! Yep, Congress wins! They know that, as long as they can get re-elected that they're on the gravy train, so they promise everyone something for nothing. Why be self-supporting when Aunt Hillary will take care of your health, your kids, your food, and everything else? Some people may be trapped by their environment and would work hard to better their situation if given the chance; others are lazy and just want a hand-out. But the taxman always wins. They get paid first!

People with money and assets are seen as being influential.
Those that aren't have nothing people want because they have nothing.
From a governmental standpoint taxes are needed. No connection for access to extremely low bank accounts or poorly payed employee's who have so little to offer, are worthy of influencing a government.
However the masses can out number the few, but it doesn't allow for any kind of an impressionable impact. Their voices are heard "once" at polling times, then the governmental leaders they voted for only go after what their vested interests are.
So what happens is their voices are entirely diminished unless a vote is needed. Over time the ignorant ones remain impressionable by whomever wants their votes, but the ones who learn how unimportant they actually are to whoever they voted for; switch parties.
Which is why the numbers of serious (conservative) republicans is growing stronger while the interest in remaining true as a democrat is becoming bankrupt.

I think you're whole question is based on an incorrect assumption.
"Uneducated immigrants" are not necessarily unintelligent, nor do they necessarily vote merely for hand outs.
If I recall from my required college philosophy class, you're question is an example of "poisoning the well." You have assumed Immigrants vote irresponsibly, when in fact, they could just be voting differently than you.
And, if Immigrants are voting, doesn't that mean they are citizens, which means they had to take classes and pass tests on American Citizenship?
And didn't they choose to live in this country? Did you choose to live here? Did you take educate yourself (and have to prove it, through a written test) about the American Government and Constitution.
I bet you're like me, and just get to vote because you were born in the right place.

Cheers and well said.
I think one thing we need to look at also is the main stream media, which with it's nuts like Rossie O'Donnel and Michael Moore twisting their lies and fears into what now passes for News. The Dems Medical junk will sink, from a taxation bases and the impact it would have on our economy it would be suicidal to try and tax our way into that system.
The ignorant person is moved and swayed by the Media and special interests and people without ethics know it and use it.

At the risk of flippantly denigrating Liberals, I believe it is obvious that Conservative philosophy requires considerably more deep thought that Liberalsm.
The proof? Merely ask some eager beaver 6th grader a political question. His wide-eyed, simple-minded response will invariably resemble that of a Liberal: "everyone is equal." "we should never go to war". "everyone deserves free health care and education" " is our right".
The 6th grader is ignorant about reality because he doesn't understand certain issues yet. He has scant experience with global realities. Hence, his ideas are naive and simple-minded.
The nearly identical responses of a Liberal are baffling. Supposedly, (most of them) have had the benefit of an education, but their logic and reasoning powers seem to have atrophied somewhere around.... well, 6th grade.
The irony of uneducated immigrants voting Democratic is, although they want a better future for their children, they fail to recognize that the Democrats require their hordes of uninformed voters to stay poor. When the basis for voting is no longer receiving all those entitlements but rather the success and advancement of our nation as a whole, the paternalistic, soft-bigotry of low expectations is exposed. People then want more than to just stay one paycheck ahead. They don't want the government controlling their lives and their pocket books. They don't want to feel like they are lucky to keep whatever money the government hasn't taxed from them.

because that is the political group that keeps promising to grant them all citizenship, the right to vote, and qualify them for every social program and handout they can invent to lure them in. They could care less about their political agenda or its impact on america. They are solely interested in what are they willing to give me to support them. Their association with the democrats is purely a matter of finance.

Yep, that all ended around 1918 when we went from being a republic and became a democracy. And now it's easier to see the original cautions that our founding fathers took.
