Nope you will only get more depressed and eventually you may turn suicidal.
Bipolar depression doesn't mean that YOU failed at life. If you are honest with yourself then you will realize that you don't want to be sad and that there is help out there. But, the first point to solving a problem is admitting that you have one.
You may have a bipolar condition and it may require medication that you don't want to take, but you don't want to live the rest of you life in misery and maybe even prematurely end it. IF you enjoy misery then I guess you can ignore the problem, but it won't go away. There is a physical defect that creates a mental unbalance that causes you to feel miserable. There are ways to treat it, but you know that or you wouldn't have asked this question. You need to take the step to get that help and work to make yourself better. Otherwise you can sit at home and wallow in your misery. I won't feel sorry for you, because I tried to help when you asked for it. I can't do much more than recommend that you seek help on your own, but then you know you need to do that as well. You just don't want to and that is a symptom of depression right there.
The only way your problem is going to go away is for you to address it and make it go away. Otherwise it will constantly dog you stealing all the joy out of life and the longer you wait to do something about it the worse your life will be. I am not telling you anything new, just something that you need to hear. So please go get some help and stop being so miserable about it.

I know for a fact it will only get worst, and your suicidal attempts will become severe until you kill yourself. You don't want that to happen, your outside commitments will suffer tremendously and personal life. so please seek medical attention and good luck finding the right medicine combinations. My husband was diagnosed with major depression about three months ago, but recently a therapist says its bipolar. We have been married for three yrs, and every since we started dating we have been dealing with this. Him and I have always felt that it was bipolar, and now he takes his medicine everyday. I can definitely say that the mood stabilizer has helped, and the anti-depressant is stabilizing him, but he has his good/bad days of depression.

If you have a mild case, you will be able to get by with good coping skills. If you have a more severe case, you need to be treated. If not, your symptoms will definitely become worse as time passes by. You really don't want that to happen.

bi-polar symptoms change, and yes at sometimes can seem like they disappear. But when they are peaking they are very detrimental to relationships, your job, your finances, and in some cases you can fall into legal trouble as well.
It is better to stick with a consistant treatment. For over all wellness.

Depends on the disorder. Also if it's chronic and goes untreated, it could be disasterous..Not advised to go untreated.
