It's cultural.
Americans think it's ok to eat cows, but Indians would never eat that.
Americans would never eat dogs because they mean companionship to us. Asians eat all kinds of nasty things; it's just the way it's always been- they follow tradition.

Asians dont eat dogs anymore. Although i'm sure a few of them do, however in asia, people ate dogs because they were starving to death. You would too.
Michael vick is going to jail because he was caught committing a crime. Do you even need an answer for that?

Everyone has there own culture and to other cultures, it's taboo. However, Michael Vick shoud've known what he did was wrong, but he chose to do it anyways. Michael Vick should definitly get worse than jail for what he did. Besides, he tested positive for marijuana recently and that's also illegal here, but yet it's not in Amsterdam. Every culture has its own beliefs about what's right and wrong.

Asians stil eat dogs, they have certain dogs that are bred for eating, call them a type of cattle if you will. But they have dogs as pets also. Just like farmers here can have cattle, pigs or sheep and have a few of them that they won't eat because they have grown attached to them. Just like some eat horses and cats.

when i was stationed in Korea, i asked that question. first only the men eat the dog meat, second it is considered a cure for impotence (sp) but something i didn't understand was there must have been a million different cures for impotence in korea and maybe that is why there are so many people there.
I did have some although i did not know it at the time. we were told after we had the meal. not that bad but my dog is safe.

Asia does not operate by the US constitution. And Asian ethics are chaining. you very really see dogs being sold to slaughter anymore but in third world countries anything they can catch and raise for little money is consumed and that includes dogs, cats, rabbits and anything else that has protein (locus are high in digestible protein and fiber). If your children were starving and the only thing around to eat is a stray dog, what would you do?
