My father has a tendency to put me down. He does it jokingly but I have asked him not to. It is always embarrassing and degrading. The last time he did it, I told him it was offensive. He has chosen now for 3 weeks to ignore me and my child. I don't live with him but his behavior has made it difficult for me to see the rest of my family. Is there any way to make him grow up? Also, how can I get over it. He is such an *** and I'd love it if I just didn't care about him. My life would be much easier. I'm the only one of his 5 children that he puts down.

Try talking to your mom about it.

Well if you have told him how you feel and he hasnt stopped he never will. Hes not to mature if he acts like that towards you and your child! He could just be joking around with you, you should tell him he needs to knock that stuff off because he dont know that he is hurting you and your child and if he wants to see youns again he should grow up. There is a child involved in the situation so you need to think about him/her 1st, they dont need to go through with something like that because there the ones hurt in the long run!

Ignore him back and let him know you're not going to put up with anyone disrespecting you and putting you down.

ask him..."are you sure i'm yours?" either way, it ought to bring out something..if you arn't, then it would explain it...if you are, then why do you not love me then?...lol...hey, it's a way...

He puts you down because you whine about him on Yahoo! Answers.

Suck it up, crybaby.
