I feel so bad today. I got Halo 3, which you would think is a good thing because I am now a 15 year old boy. But, my dad waited, the day it came out, 6 or 7 hours just to get it for me. He went out of his way just to make me happy on my birthday. He had a surgery very recently, and I feel so bad. He said it was nothing, what should I do to make it up to him?

how sweet,,,your dad obviously loves you a great deal to do this for you,,,you could always get him a little something what will mean alot to him,or just a card which says the words in it,, whatever you do or say it will mean a great deal to him,,,,,,have a great birthday,and give your dad a big hug he deserves one xxx

Aww that is sweet of your dad. When he is up to it you should treat him out to dinner or lunch or you can take him to do something you both like to do together. Some father-son bonding time! Tell him how much you appreciate him as a dad and what hes done for you, it will bring a tear to his eye. Happy Birthday by the way

Your Dad loves you so much. Let him know how much you love him for what he did for you. I agree, give him a card telling him how much you love him, but in that card outline some of the more intangible reasons you love him. I was in similiar situation once and I outlined all the reasons I love my Mum so much: she taught me to love to read; how to see the beauty of a sunrise; what unconditional love really means; how much it meant to me that she knew me so well as a person that she knew what presents to choose for me that would make me so happy. Your reasons for loving your Dad will be different to that but you will find some to write in there. If he knows he has given you more than a gift, he is gonna feel like the best Dad in the world.
Keep loving him, and even when you get angry with him (as we do) remember how well this man knows you.

You have a great dad and he has a sweet boy! What will make him happy is you being happy. But saying that you love him will make him feel even better!

Awwww.....that is so sweet. Buy him a card that says something about how much you appreciate him or what a great dad he is and put some of your own words in it.
