A lot of men seem to think that if they get tied down someone better will come along so they play the waiting game.

We are not exactly afraid of committment. We do't want to be trapped in a bad one. When some girls get too clingy and emotional too fast that is what scares us. We need time to get to know the "real" you. We know all you ladies are putting up a front to catch a man.
Of course there are some of us who are just players and want to sleep around. The girls we have fun, get drunk and get naked with real quick . . . are not the type we respect and love and are not longer term.
Off and On . . . doesn't sound good to me. Just leave him. We guys know when we find the one and want her so much we do ask you to marry. Getting pregnant doesn't work. That's why there are a lot of single moms who've never been married.

The reason men are afraid of commitment is because they always think someone better is gonna come along. I would just move on because if you've been together that long and he's not trying to commit then either one he has someone on the side or two he thinks someone else better is gonna come and he's gonna get rid of you.

Men are not afraid of commitment. Certain people are afraid of commitment. But, if you have been together for 18 years, then you have been committed to each other.

WOW!!!! Thats ridiculous.. why waste more time on him? He's not worth anymore of your time... seriously you should move on... hang out w/ your friends, and keep yourself and mind occupied so you can get him off your mind... it will take some time, and it won't be easy but you deserve so much better... after all that time, it's a shame that he's not ready for a relationship... he's showing how immature and selfish he is... sorry you're going through this...

I'm not afraid of commitment... but then I'm madly and deeply in love with my other half and would love to spend the rest of my life with her, maybe one day we can make that commitment. I'm thinking he's not the one for you, you need the one who's gonna worship the ground you walk on and vice versa :)
