I swear this is true. Richmond Co. GA elementary school class, teacher reviews the alphabet with her class, ...."What do 'S' start with?"
Cheerleading practice...."eeny-meeny-miney-moe... how many points can we scoe?"
Is it any wonder our children are so screwed up? (note: I'm not saying this about all teachers, but just the stupid ones!)

"How in the heck are some of these idiots allowed to 'educate' our children?"...You ask? I have no idea...

But there are plenty worse than just being lame simpletons...

How do you know that these incidences are true? Did you witness them first hand?Teachers make mistakes. But, so does everyone else. Teachers are human, too. My children (now ages 28, 26, 22, and 10) are products of a public school education. Did we like all of their teachers? No, we didn't. Did we find everyone of their teachers taught in the manner that was best for our kids? No, we didn't, but some of the teachers that were the worst for our kids were the best for other kids. Did some of their teachers do things we found questionable? Sure we did. Not as many kids are screwed up as you think. I am beginning my 24th year of being an active parent volunteer in our school district. The vast majority of the kids are great kids from great families being taught by superior teachers. Sure there are problems, but the troubled kids I know are not the result of bad teaching, but bad parenting.

I wouldn't necessarily say that the teachers are stupid, I would think it is more likely that they just don't care. My mother was a teacher for 40 years and I saw everything she had to deal with. With a master's degree and 30 years experience, she was making about 35k a year! Not only that, but she had to deal with upset parents who felt she should be raising their children for them. On top of that stress, she had to deal with the administration that just did not back her up and made her out to be the enemy. She was an incredible teacher who cared very deeply about the work she did, but in the end, she was very bitter and depressed. So no, I do not think these teachers you are referring to are stupid, I just think they have stopped caring due to the way they are treated by parents and the administration.

So because she said "What do" she's stupid and therefore your child is stupid? I hate to say this but if your child grows up to be stupid you're the blame. One, your teaching your child it's okay to insult others. Two, because each teacher usually only has them one year. Whereas you have the child their whole childhoods. If they turn out "stupid" then I think you at least should have most of the blame. You raised them.

As a teacher let me apologize.

Sometimes we aren't as perfect as you'd like us to be.

I find it unfortunate that a undoubtedly perfect person such as yourself never went into education as a career.

Come on people do dumb things sometimes and everyone makes mistakes. If you have such a serious problem with your child's school, why don't you pull your child out. Homeschooling is always an option.

This way if your child ends up a homicidal sociopath, it's your own fault.

Some people have real nerve.
