Is it a big turn off to a guy if a girl is insecure about things from time to time. I just started dating this guy and I really like him but I find myself fumbling over my words and getting self-conscious sometimes. I'm usually pretty self-assured but I like this guy so much that it makes me nervous sometimes. Is this a big turn off? Should I be trying to act smooth and collected even when I feel the opposite?

Sincerity is key.

Don't front with us. Tell us the truth. Most guys will be flattered that you are nervous because of them.

Most GUYS are nervous because of you girls, even if we act smooth and suave. However, I would warn you that if a guy acts completely smooth, he's probably kind of a player.

Insecurity is a "turn off" when girls depend on guys for happiness and self-esteem issues.

Don't depend on us for you to know who you are. You've got to bring that to the table on the onset of a relationship or the relationship is doomed before it begins.

Trust your gut. Be honest. If he doesn't like you for that, then (until he matures) he never will.

I am not a guy, but I can say that being nervous and fumbling on your words is not being insecure, there is a difference.

Sometimes guys actually think it is cool that you are nervous, it gives them the feeling of the upper hand.

Now is that what you want?

I would say, take a deep breath and talk to him like his equal, cause you are!
