I was just wondering if I get a PS3 can I play Final Fantasy X or not

Silence the evil 8, thats funny considering Toshiba has announced they will be using PS3's cell processor in their new laptops. IBM helped develope it, SCEA produces it.

Even on the newer PS3 with PS2 emulation the PS site says it should work with no problems ( i haven't tried it)

Unfortunately IBM has pulled production on the PS3 Cell processor so you can expect it to become another sega dreamcast reallllly soon.
