My 5 year old is 60 lbs. so he is kinda a chunky monkey himself. I recently bought him a childrens workout video on ebay and he loves it (it is basically just dancing, jumping around, jumping jacks). Also, we are all working as a family to eat healthier. He still gets a snack after dinner, but it has to be fruit or veggies (he can pick what he wants), we have cut out juice boxes and switched to 1% milk and wheat bread. This is working for us. You just need to make small adjustments, work on changing 1 thing each week. Also, go for walks as a family after dinner, my son loves this (cuz it is his only one on one time with me), usually if I am home I feel I have to be doing something, so these changes will have a lot of benefits for you and your kids.

well...i have struggled with my weight for a few years now and i have tried everything, including exercise which i don't really like because it depresses me...well not to long ago my friend mentioned to me this great product that has actually been around for over 20 years, its totally natural and its made to fit YOUR body type to give you what you need and to get you results when you want them!...So i figured i would give it a try and guess what....ive lost over 10lbs and 11inches in just over a week!!!! and i haven't even exercised....this product truly is life changing, it works for you rather than you working for it and the best part is...its not some fad with some embarrassing weigh in or some off the roof price, its totally affordable!!! and it comes with a complete money back guarantee even if you do use all of it!!!!and its totally practical, you dont have to change your lifestyle to use it! And they also have a kids line to which is totally natural and safe. anyways what im saying is you should def give this a shot..at least to learn more information about it..cause it really does work...so if you are interested contact me at smidget9287@yahoo.com and i will set you up with all of the information you need to get yourself on track!! hope to hear from you!

They need nutritional help. Read "Ending the Food Fight" I don't remember the author but I know he is in charge of the pediatric weight loss program at Bostons Children's Hospital. It is a very good book. You also need a doctor to run all blood work and rule out any medical conditions. Then get a referral to a nutritionist. Do not put them on a fad diet.

Treating this as though it's a serious question, although I hope you're just goofing around. Obviously, both of your kids are morbidly obese and need a drastic change in diet and lifestyle. You pediatrician can give you the details, but you will have to stick to them and be strong for your kids. I bet anything you could stand to lose a few pounds yourself...

children that overweight are considered, by many, to be the result of severe child neglec or mistreatment. i suggest that YOU go the shrink to learn how to properly care for your children.
start them off on a whole life change. this includes your family to make it feel like a game or family activity to them. empty out your fridge and cupboards of ANYTHING remotely unhealthy or heavily processed, buy a cookbook, buy a calorie counter, and get some proffessional advice and children are constantly growing and you dont want to (accidently) remove imperitive vitamins etc from thier diet.
please treat your children right from now on.

you need to feed them more veggies, get them out and active, doing something everyday and Im not talking about no 1 hour camp thing Im talking about the whole day playing outside with other kids and doing stuff like going swimming on a daily basis slowly you have to be careful if he's already over 300 pounds and 10 im guessing he hates going outside to play, the swimming idea is perfect cause everyone loves water, no stress on his body parts and he can go as fast or as slow as he wants nice and smooth get the kids moving about... my opinion.

well, the first questions to ask are: 1) do they eat healthy foods? and 2) do they eat larger portions than they need to? The first thing you can do is to eliminate fast food and foods that are high in fat and calories. Start cooking them fresh foods like vegetables and lean meats and chicken...Check out recipes from Rachel Ray, she has alot of dishes out there that are healthy but still appealing to children. Good luck!

you need to take him to a doctor. They will evaluate him and take neccessary steps to help him lose that extra weight. Try to stay calm and make an appointment for them both:). These days im sure they have alot of different options for them.
keep us updated on how it goes

OMG! Have you taken them to a dietician? This is very, very bad. Take them to a few doctors, put them on strict diet and exercise before its too late. If they start like this so young, who knows what could happen?
