I LOVE tomatoes...eat them on sandwiches all the time!!

I love, love, LOVE tomatoes. I love eating them like apples. I can't eat a sandwich without tomatoes, it would taste incomplete. Same thing goes for my green salad...I could do without carrots, cucumber, onion, but not without tomatoes. I grow my own tomatoes too..so I have organic tomatoes every summer. I also like to make a delicious tomato salad with chopped plum tomatoes, sliced red onion, diced cucumber, and diced green pepper drizzled with some extra virgin olive oil and sprinkled with some salt. Delicious! I don't understand why some of my friends dislike tomatoes. And I also LOVE tomato sauce...that is, HOMEMADE tomato sauce (fresh plum tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, basil, and parsley). I can't stand the jarred versions...they are too sour and they don't even taste like tomatoes!

can't beat a fresh tomato from the garden, so in the summer I eat them all the time. My favorite, tomato and cheese sandwich. Those red things in the grocery store in the winter aren't really tomatoes. lol :-)

I love them even though I have a slight allergy to them.
Tomato sandwiches with just tomatoes, mayo and salt and pepper... MMMMM!!!
Also fresh tomatoes from the garden with some salt and pepper on it.

Tomatoes are a wonderful ingredient. Salsa, ketchup, spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, all are delicious.
But just a plain ol' tomato, on a burger or in a salad, just doesn't do it for me.
"Honey, you want my tomato?"

I love tomatoes in every sense except I cannot eat one right off the vine. Weird isn't it? I think it might be a texture thing.
