04 nissan xterra v6 rwd, the truck is pulling to the left a little bit, i think im also due for a tire rotation (every 6 months). Do i need to get the tires rotated before the 4 wheel alignment or should i just skip the rotation and get the truck aligned, maybe rotate the tires on a later date?. im on a fixed income so im trying to save some cash. Do i need a front wheel vs 4 wheel alignment? I also read that not doing tire rotations can actually save money, something to do with replacing 2 tires at a time rather than 4? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

1 rotate your tires every 5000
2 follow the rotation described in the manual (backs same side to the front, cross the fronts to the rear)
3 your truck requires only a front end alignment (it has a solid rear axel and there is no adj)
4 an align. should be done with good tires ( meaning flat normal wear, If they are worn funny then you are wasting your money)
5 Who ever told you not rotating tires will save you money is an idiot
6 if your truck is pulling to one side it is a good indication you need an alignment
7 make sure you are on a level road when the truck is pulling (roads have a crown in the center to shed water and that can cause your car to pull)
8 if you follow the 5000 mile rotation you should get 60000 plus miles out of the bfg radial long trail tires

ONLY if the tires are wearing unevenly. that goes for both, alignment and balancing.. Ask to see the tires when the car is on the lift before you give your answer. If you were told you should get an alignment and balancing WITHOUT them telling you your tires are wearing unevenly. Take your car and go right away the shop is trying to rip your off.. Also on a lot of cars a 4 wheel alignment is never necessary since a lot of cars have no adjustment for the rear wheels. If these cars have a pull or tire wear and the front is in alignment there is a bad part or more where a replacement will true it right up. BMWS (all older models have only a toe adjustment and you can go and ask just to have the toe set. Again if it still has a pull or can't be aligned with adjustments the car has a worn part that when replaced will clear up the problem. Unless the car has a bent frame or uni-body.. that's the worst////

rotate then align, if the problem still there it could just be the canver of the road or a faulty tyre.
sounds stupid but it actually happened to me, i bought my car
and it was pulling to the left. i took it back to the dealer and they did all sorts of things then it came down to the brand of tyres had a faulty batch so i had them replaced for free! good luck
