It's very clear to me that the "bible" is nothing more than a prehistoric book of fairy tales made up to explain things that the primitives couldn't explain due to undeveloped science of the times.
Really is a shame that so many modern people cling to this nonsense.

Your confused. Are you Catholic? :)
The Bible confuses all religious insitutions; this is validated by the squabbles within.
Religions, moreso Evangilicals and other pulpet pounding personalities Teach LITERAL meanings.
And this is them teachinmg a Non-Truth to their congregation.
The Bible can be best Understood in Symbolic Empathy form as it is rather clear to me what many -many teaching were about.
Religions step ino "God" and that concept freely, as if they really knew what "God" is; they teach "Jesus" will save you, If you Beleive he is the son of God".
And from there it goes down hill.
If one were to step out of thier religious dogmatism one might see ALL discipline hold a portion of truth, not a single one holds near ALL Truth.
When you say "God" should have-would have made his menaings obvious I would answer two-fold.
One, he did, two, Politics in Religion Distorted what was really said and it was also twisted by Literal Interpretation.
Allow me one last point: The Bible teaches Jesus cured a blind man and so on; the Bible made jesus a "Hero" and "miracle worker" and this is a big part of the biblical history of how Christianity was made; in Truth, as Jesus represented TRUTH , as he "cured" the blind man the blind man could now see: see what? See Jesus, The Truth.
What Jesus was telling everyone was look, as I am the truth see the truth and the blind in Spirit shall be "blind no more".
This can be seen if one reads with the heart and not the eyes and this is Obvious if one takes time to read in such a way and not disbelieve truth.
And the big Truth???
You're it.
The truth is you are in charge of you, all of you. Yes, God's there but your role of self government in the Spirit is yours .
Factualy, you will never die in any shape way or form as you seek truth in Reality (how it is made, why it is made, who makes it, what lies in higher learning, in higher realities and so on); spritualy your evolving and this has nothing to do with "Religions" and being a "holy servant" to anyone as God, Jesus and all other interpreted entities regard you as an equal and in such, you build as best you can, spiritualy, as that equal.

Wrong. What is obvious is that God is separating people by their reactions to it.
Jesus being 'called' "Prince of Peace" is all the prophecy said. What he himself said was that he came not to bring peace, but a sword.
Those who are calling him 'Prince of Peace' are those who apparently seek to mollify God with mere words, while they praise their militant sons for killing more of the enemy in the 'service of God and Country'
Sorting these out demands the acceptance of their extreme levels of dishonesty in word and deed.

You are wrong. Interpretation of the Scriptures is not necessarily obvious. That is why Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to guide His Church.

Anything is open to interpretation. Once that happens, the whole house of cards falls down.
Does anyone want to agree or disagree?
Well, I'm sorry... It's open to interpretation!

You're right... but not to some fundy of any faith. God is an interesting concept.... I like Paul Tillich's idea... that "god is not a being, god is being itself." That then makes god part of me and my talents, you and your talents and everyone...., and god is in everyone and everything... god is then in the hand of the artist who paints and pulls you into his work with only pigments and oils, or in the hand of the surgeon who cuts to cure.... Bible stuff??? take it for what it is... folk lore and fairy tales from a group of stone age starving shepherds living in the middle east.... one horrid place to live then, and still is, isn't it????
To take the bible literally is crap. Most educated people take it for what is really is.... superstitious writings of people who know nothing of science, but needed some way to cope with their horrid world....

Scripture for the most part is obvious and when people read Scriptures with an open mind and contextually people agree for the most part on what it is talking about.
With some exceptions of course. But you see just because we can't agree that isn't' God's problem that is our problem.

wrong.
By and large the meaning is obvious. By and large people choose to ignore it. (Or interpret it according to their personal whim.)
