let me explain. If straight people think we chose our sexuality, that means they chose theirs right? If that's the case then wouldn't that mean they chose to suppress their gay feelings in order to be "regular"?

dont try to use their logic...it doesnt work on them.

they make it seem as tho one day we woke up and one day decided to like the same sex....its such an absurd concept...i ask the same thing...and when did you decide to like the opposite sex? Did you have a barbie and a ken doll in front of you, and say...Hmm...i think i'll take.... This one? and that chose your sexuality or something. The only thing gay people chose, is to act on their feelings, but so do straight people, and if they want us to not act on our gay feelings, then they can suppress their straight ones.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Are you really saying that you think that all peoples are just suppressing their urges to have *** sex when it's natural for them to procreate? And what does it mean to be "regular" ?In A LOT of places throughout history (Greece for example) it was considered normal or the "regular" to have homosexual sex, even more so than heterosexual relations. They chose to do it then...and they are CHOOSING to do it now.

For some really strange reason, homophobes are completely silent on that question. However, I have thought about it often, and it cracks me up. Why anyone in this or in many other cultures would deliberately choose to be homosexual is beyond me. Unless of course that ol' debbil LUST forces them into the "gay lifestyle."

They come up with some pretty stupid "logic." I wouldn't even try reasoning with them. They know that they didn't choose to be straight, it just came natural for them, and they wanna think that we are different. I heard someone say the "default" mode is straight, so everyone is born straight and then we just choose to be gay...It's all stupid. They know they couldn't force themselves to be gay, just like we can't force ourselves to be straight, it's just the way we are born.

And almost all of us - straight and gay - remember the day we chose our orientation, usually with fondness.

"Ahhhhh. It was a cool Saturday, and a breeze was blowing. I said to myself 'I think I'm going to be gay. It just seems so cool to be ostracized."

"Ahhhhh. It was a cool Saturday, and a breeze was blowing. I said to myself 'I think I'm going to be straight. It has nothing to do with attraction - I just want to reproduce, and reproduction is the only reason for sex."

Yup. Makes sense, don't it?

You make a DAMN GOOD POINT my friend...

I never thought about it like that before...

I have just never really been into guys and it felt "Wrong" when I was with um' (before I figured out who I was) but I never really thought about how if I have feelings for chicks and am "Repressing" my feelings for guys that means that straight chicks are "Repressing" their urges for other chicks...

WOW...

THANK YOU for bringing this exelent topic of conversation "out" so to speak! LOL!

If that's the case, then they are not heterosexuals but bisexuals. In fact ONLY Bisexuals can "choose" to confine their activity to one sex or the other; however they still remain bisexual.

Yes to all of your questions. But they'll deny that they ever had a 'choice'.
