My husband does that too. I know that it can be a sign of Parkinson's disease (which I highly doubt, in your case), nervousness, excitability, or just a quirky little habit. If you feel it's getting in the way of your normal life, ask your doctor about it.

My father has it. This is hereditary, so there will be a strong family history of it if it is actually Tourette's.

I don't know, but I used to do that constantly as a kid.
I thought I was only one!
I grew out of it, though.
