I'm positive they do. They are much more sensitive then we are.We moved into this old farm house. The old man that lived there had died. His dog was still there so we kept him.About 5o'clock the dog would go out to the point and wait for his man to come home.He could see the road from there. At night we could see the dog sitting out in the yard and tell that he was getting scratched behind his ears and stuff. You know the difference in the way a dog will act when you are doing this for him. There is no doubt. If his man was not back spending time with him, he would have eventually quit going out to meet him every day.

I dont know. I think if you have a very attentive dog its plausible. My dogs bark at anything and everything. One goes ballistic for reflections from a watch or mirror on the wall. They all seem to convince each other that they heard something and will bark randomly. Atleast it feels random... we live in an apartment so maybe they do hear the neighbors.

I used to live in this house where the people that lived there before us...the son killed himself. His room had holes in the walls and angry writing everywhere!! Everytime I walked past his room I would get a chill. I was watching tv one night with my chocolate lab...all alone in the middle of the woods...when Bailey started to FREAK OUT!!! He was jumping from couch to couch and standing in front of me growling!! I was SO scared!! He definitely acted like he saw something that he didn't like coming from the kitchen, which was right near the dark hallway that lead to that kid's room!! I ran out of the house, with Bailey...hopped in the car and didn't come back til my boyfriend was home!!

Yes. My grandfather died at home, and every single dog (even the current ones we have who never knew him) goes into that room, sits in the exact same spot where his hospital bed was, and they hold their heads like they are being petted, and wag their tails. My grandpa loved our dogs.

Yes but I believe they sense them rather than see them.
