Scientists have discovered that Pinot noir grapes have more genes than humans. It has about 30,000 genes in its DNA. That's more than the human genome, which contains some 20,000 to 25,000 genes.

So my question is, how would a grand designer spend more time with grapes than with humans?

Sorry, just couldn't resist this one.

I don't know. Why don't you try asking the same question to the grape.

There are so many logical fallacies with that line of thought that it is just frightening.

Illicit Causal Inference being the most obvious: The grape has more DNA so God must have spent more time on it.

That doesn't even get into the sheer amount of data that is not represented in the article. Like how many years and in what way human beings have been tinkering with that grape on a reproductive/genetic level.

It does not mean that He spent more time on them at all.
I don't think grapes have a consciousness or other
capabilities of mind and body quite as great as
humans have, do you?

Ecc 9:7

Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for it is now that God favors what you do.

Psalms 104: 14-15
He makes grass grow for the cattle,
and plants for man to cultivate—
bringing forth food from the earth:

wine that gladdens the heart of man,
oil to make his face shine,
and bread that sustains his heart

Zech 10:7
The Ephraimites will become like mighty men,
and their hearts will be glad as with wine

He also compared us to grapes on a vine and he being the vine dresser ... it's a great study of Gods timing and our going through seasons.
