Drommie: Not that large. It could support small cave creatures for longer than that easily.

Actually, creatures that live in the arctic would have been quite likely to survive a flood of that sort. Ice floats! It would be hard to flood something that lives on a floating mass.

Consequently, we should all be descended from Eskimos and penguins and polar bears should be the most common animals in the world. Obviously, those creatures would have survived in far higher numbers than any of the species on Noah's ark.

People had never seen rain until God told Noah to build a boat that no one had ever seen. You can't prove any were trapped in air pockets in caves. What God was trying to get rid of was the fallen angel mixed breed that mixed with human women. Only Noah was perfect in his generation. Jesus said that before He returns it will be as it was in the days of Noah meaning fallen angels will be possessing men and women and actually having relations with women and producing demonic people.

Read Genesis chapter 6 in the Bible and please read the King James Version and no other.

it rained for 40 days however water was on the earth for 150 days

24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

¶ In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month,

13 ¶ And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.

Um...how large would an air pocket have to be to be able to support life for 40 days? This is an absurd question that is clearly designed for no other purpose than to mock God and His followers.
