Cauliflower leaves are edible, we fed our guinea-pigs and rabbits on them for years.
My friend uses the leaves as well as the white crunchy flowers in her curry everyday.
Your friend is winding you up... go out and get some exotic mushrooms from your greengrocer and cook them in a meal and invite your friend round, suggest after the meal that your not sure about picking wild mushrooms yet!

I think your friend is getting his cauliflowers mixed up with his rhubarb.
Rhubarb is similar to look at and if cooked at a very high temperature is poisonous.
But don't worry, if you had eaten that you wouldn't be asking what it was.
You're next of kin would!

None at all - what a load of old baloney!
I love the stalks & the young inner leaves of cauliflower and broccoli - I have always eaten them and I'm still here!!!

Its not good to eat cauliflower leaves. But you won't die - if you were poisoned you would be dead by now.

You have eaten nothing remotely poisonous.
