My husband birthday coming up soon and he loves steak, where would be a good place to take him for his birthday?? We live in Phoenix, Arizona. Do these places do anything special for his birthday??? I was thinking about taking him to Monti's on Mill Ave in Tempe?? I have never been there before but I have heard him bring it up before about going there as a kid. If anyone has been there to eat do you recommend eating there? How are the prices?

Oregano's! On your birthday, you get a free pizzookie. Food is not expensive and portions are huge. If you go during a peak time, expect to wait, but it's worth it.

Been a long time since I've been to Phoenix. Last I recall there were some interesting looking places up near Camelback Mall. I remember eating at a large mexican restaurant, the food and service were fantastic. I'm so bad with names. It was close to Sun Devil stadium I think.

If you're willing to drive a bit, there's a great steak house in Sedona on Hwy 89A. Cowboy type place. I'm sorry I can't recall the name but it's right in the middle of town. The locals should be able to point you to it.

Is this a special birthday? 30? 40? 50? If it is, I'd go with his "hint" at Monti's. They have a webpage I found: www.montis.com Or drop by one day when you have time and just ask to see a menu, talk to the staff and see what they can arrange.

Monti's is very good. Durant's downtown is the oldest restaurant and has a lot of character and atmosphere. I think the best steaks are at Fleming's. There are three locations in the valley.
