You go around the maze (walk of life) eating dots after dots (the mundane day-to-day), and ghosts (evil personae) are trying to kill you (condemned to hell). The only way to defeat the ghosts is to eat the giant dots (the brightest dot, "the light" or "God") and you can fend off the evil.
I'm not sure how the 3 lives or the fruit in the middle pertain to it, but perhaps the fruit is a metaphor for the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden, man's original sin.
