that Allah made it appear that way, possibly by making someone else look like Jesus. Why would Allah wait so long to clear up the wrong belief which he caused?
Does the Koran explain why? Please, serious answers only. Thanks.

Koran 4:157 -
And because of their saying (in boast), "We killed Messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allâh," - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of 'Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary).

This is not the fault of man. Allah allowed people to believe that Jesus died by apparently changing his appearance. Some Muslims believe it was Judas. Are you telling me Mary didn't recognize her own Son? She apparently was also fooled. That would make it Allah's doing!

I appreciate the opinions I am getting, but my question is not being answered. Allah allowed people to believe Jesus was crucified. Why? And why did it take 600 years before "the truth" was told?

The Qu'ran is anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, and anti-world. The Islamic faith is tolerant of those that support their beliefs. And intolerant of dissenting.
Islam was developed to quench the fire of Christian proselytizing in the Holy Land, not to correct misconceptions. If it were the other way around, Islam would have been created before the advent of Jesus.
My guess is the first few hundred years after Jesus' Crucifixion got unnerving for some, both for and against. Mohammed had to have been thinking with logic, not divine revelation, when he conceived a story that, to the people living then, must have seemed like legend. IOW, people were ready to stop hearing about this so called God-Man and ready to accept anything that would lay to rest the entire tale.
They were not ready to accept Jesus. The God of Abraham was singular. Why fix something if it isn't broke? The part they leave out of the argument is that they never followed Moses' Laws. They never abided by the 10 Commandments as holy. To them, repentance had other possibilities. In fact, they never regarded anything about the laws, the God of Moses laid down, other than it was the same God Abraham's son was brought up to believe in.
One other thing, Ishmael was the son of an Egyptian. Egyptians had way different beliefs than Jews. Thus, how can Allah possibly be the same God? Egyptians offered human sacrifices, for Pete's sake.

hi,
because after crucifix, people took the cross as sth holy,
and adopted practises that jesus didn't do at all,and that many things were elabored by people.for example jesus didn't tell the people there to take the cross, nor that his sacrifice would allow his followers to erase all their sins including horrible crimes.(nowadays criminals like politicians
hold this belief and carry on killing just because of the belief that one day jesus will forgive them, this is not accepted in islam, only god forgives an nobody else has the key to paradise except god.)
to answer now your question, the bible mentioned the coming of another prophet, and because people at that time corrupted verses of bible ,quran came to clarify things happened in the past, and since the jews at that time refused jesus, they substituted facts in bible with beliefs.in islam jesus
was substituted wwith another one looking like him,if jews knew that it was not the real they would carry on their search because they were determined to kill him and refused his message from god.i won't be too long,i advise you to find a book called"jesus in islam",i am sure it will give you the answers you are looking for.thanks for the question, and the kind way you asked it.

Hello,
They certainly do not doubt that Jesus was crucified. Some people of Islam believe it was a blotched execution which Jesus survived but he did not rise from the dead and on recovery, he went off to live elsewhere in the Roman Empire.
Others believe some one else went to the cross in his place.
By the way, Islam is 1500 years old.
Cheers,

Because Allah is not God. Jesus came in the flesh as God so we could know God. He went to the Cross for us so we could be reconnected back to God. We lost God when we disobeyed in the Garden of Eden and we were dead in our sins, because the wages of sin is death. Jesus took away the sins of the world if we believe in Him. John 3:16 tells us
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that who so ever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." Salvation is a free gift from Jesus Christ.

It's just the truth u either believe it or not. You should read the Qu'ran and see for yourself. And it's not a wrong belief
How are we meant to know why Allah did that? Sonetimes we don't even know why we do things and you think we can answer that question?

Allah sent messages all over but people keep going astray, how can you blame Allah for that?
The Gospel of Barnabas said the same, and so did the Gospel of Judas, Allah did not choose the books of the Bible, but men did it.
From the beginning Allah teaches humanity to take no God but He, yet people didn't obey http://byefareed.0catch.com
How can we blame Allah for what we are doing?
