How can a person who is supposed to be "possesed" if you will...by the Holy Spirit, also be possesed by a demon?

In the original Greek the Bible does not speak of possession by a demon but about 'having' a demon. Also the Holy Spirit does not 'posses' you to the exclusion of any other spirits. It's a common error of Christians to think they cannot have indwelling evil powers - most of them do. Exorcism is mentioned only once in Acts and was done as a ritualistic act by the sons of Sceva and failed. They did not have the power of Christ. You can only cast out demons in the name of, and by the power, of Christ alone

Believers are not "possessed" by the Holy Spirt. They are baptised, or filled with the Holy Spirit. Believers can be spiritually oppressed, but not demonic possessed.

At the end of the movie, it was revealed that Emily learned she was chosen specifically to suffer in this particular way in order to send a message to others that Satan and God were both, in fact, real. That's why demonic forces were trying to prevent the priest's testimony.
Emily Rose in the movie was Catholic, and Catholics believe strongly in the idea of "redemptive suffering".

She was not possessed by the Holy Spirit.
She was possessed by a demon, and her faith and commitment to Christ enabled her to endure the suffering for the sake of the flock. She was a great woman.

in case you don't believe in demon's possesion,i assure it's a true fact,some doctors don't cure because it's taken as schizophrenia,here in my country we cure these things succefully.

Mental illness is a form of possession.
I think God allows this so that others will know that there really are demons in this world and the no matter how horrible their attacks are... God will prevail.
Emily Rose was an instrument of knowledge and truth.
And knowledge is power.

The poor girl (actually named Annaliese Michele ) was seriously mentally ill. Demons and spirits had nothing to do with it.
