Suppositories will make it feel better right away.
The lasting solution is to eat more fiber. Wheat bran, like raisin bran will work while you think of some other fiber rich foods to add to your diet.
Also, don't sit on the toilet for long periods, since this tends to make hemmorhoids worse.

Lot's of good answers already. Over the counter stuff can help give temporary relief. A diet rich in fiber can help. Don't strain when you're trying to "go". Plenty of water daily.
My last resort was surgery. No big deal though, it was done on an outpatient basis, I was home by mid-day. Check with your doc.

Most people will probably tell you to just get an over the counter cream... but I just read in a website that you should apply aloe vera gel to the hemorrhoids and then the cream. She also said to drink plenty of water and to eat a lot of fiber. Good luck! (:

Och! That is NO fun having hemroids! You know, Preperation H works really well, and you can buy it a most drug stores. But you make try and use a less abrassive toilet tissue too! That can cause the problem...
Hope you feel better!

Perpetration H
makes a really good suppository,
and also a cream.
Ask your Dr. about using a Stool softener,
and what foods to eat..

to relieve symptoms: warm bath or compress, witch hazel, reduce your chances for constipation...
to "cure" them i think you just have to have them removed with minor surgery.

Sometimes the best way to treat them is to have them removed surgically.
