From a literal interpretation of scriptures, I am told that those who do not turn from their sin,are going to hell....

homosexuals are going to hell, unless they change.... I Corinthians 6:9

From the same literal interpretation of scripture we see that:
divorced/remarried will go to hell...1 Corinthians 6:9, Luke 16:18, matthew 5:32, Matthew 19:9, unless they change by remaining celibate

Also, those who have declared bankruptcy, defaulted on student loans/credit cards have stolen...and unless they repay the debt will go to hell...Ephesians 4:27-29, Leviticus 19:10-12. Deuteronomy 5:19, romans 13:7-9

obese/gluttons will go to hell, Proverbs 23:2, II Peter 1:6, Philippians 3:19, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Proverbs 23:20-21, II Peter 1:5-7, II Timothy 3:1-9, unless they turn from their sin, and get healthy.

So fundies, who the heck will be in heaven given the number of homosexuals, divorce rate, number of bankruptcies, and the number of fat people?

Only straight, rich, modest, married people I guess. (Neither of which Jesus came to save before, since none of them needed saving to begin with.) Meek, humble, caring, faithful people is my belief who will spend eternity with God.

one thing is sure politician who turned this world upside down,no need to mention them they are famous, won't smell the odor of heaven though they utter the word jesus billion times a day.it's a fashion nowadays to commit crimes and then holding the cross and making crocodile tears,no it doesn't work at all, those who think that crimes will be forgiven like wars are wrong.this belief puts aside divine justice that nobody can stop it not even the prophet jesus.
there is sth wrong with these verses, unmarried persons have nothing to do with sins,it's life and it includes things like love, break up,marriage,divorce....
so telling that divorced are not going to hell sounds illogical.
i invite you to have a look at islam saying about that, don't pay attention to what cnn journalists parrot about terrorism and other rubbish,do have a look, and then judge and compare.
you won't lose anything if you explore.

No one. The bible states that "the new heaven" will be made here on earth.

Revelation 21
The New Jerusalem

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Salvation is not based on works, or lack of them. Nor is it based on sins we commit while in the flesh. Those who are saved are drawn to Christ by the Father.

Joh 6:44 No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.

Those whom He has called, will come. Christ died for our sins, all of them, at the cross, and rose again for our justification. We are all sinners, and Christ came to save sinners. We do nothing to gain salvation or secure it, it is all a work of God. Unless the Spirit indwells a person, they will not recognize their sinful state, need of a savior or need for repentance.
Those who will be in Heaven are the ones called out and chosen by the Father, who Christ died for, who have the indwelling of the Spirit, who have been given the faith to believe, and who has all their sins forgiven.

Just about every one will be in Heaven. Paul taught in Corinthians there are three degrees of glory. Many will only be in the lowest.

G.C i think you got it all wrong please take time to read and interpret the word of God.

Now the Bible says He that doeth the Father's will is going to heaven
What is the Father's will? That we repent of our sins, be baptised in the name of Jesus for the remission or washing away of our sins, speak in tongues as the Spirit of God gives us utterance and live a separated and holy life unto God. see Acts 2 and especiall from verse 36 - 47 so we can all go if we follow His commandments hope to see you there until then seek His face with your whole heart He will reveal Himself to you in a way you can never imagine. i am a living testimony. Praise God.

God is not the strict, rigid , unforgiving Father often characterized by many. He is full of mercy and His kingdom is for everyone who wishes to be with Him in eternal life.

Ecc.12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Seems to me that all will be there when they die.

The people who put their trust in Christ to forgive them of their sins. I'll be there. Praise the LORD.
